DEERFIELD BEACH

August 3 A man was arrested and charged with battery on a woman at 6 NE 45 Street.

August 3 A man stole a hand basket of body wash and 12 rolls of toilet paper from Walgreens at 20 SW 12 Ave. Total value of the stolen items was $110.

August 4 A man reported his car stolen from 1240 SW 8 Ave.

August 4. A man was observed trying to break into storage units at 4699 N. Dixie Hwy. He was unable to cut through all the locks and fl ed before he could enter the units.

August 4 A man was arrested and charged with loitering and prowling after he tried to break into a trailer at 400 N. Ocean Dr.

Sept. 15 On Tuesday, at 1:40 p.m., BSO was investigating an incident near the 4200 block of NW 7 Place involving a male suspect, slim build and older model black Nissan 4-door suspect vehicle. Victim was outside her residence by the roadway cleaning her sidewalk. Vehicle stopped on the roadway, suspect jumped out and ran up to the victim. He snatched two gold necklaces from her neck before reentering the vehicle, which fl ed the area south on NW 41 Way. The victim had only minor abrasions on her neck. Investigation ultimately revealed that the vehicle was observed by witnesses driving back and forth in the area prior to the incident. The witnesses additionally observed a Silver or Gray Nissan 4-door following the Black Vehicle. The silver vehicle was observed backing into at least one driveway

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

August 27 Victim said he performed work on a customer’s vehicle at his shop at 4250 block of N. Federal Hwy. and was given a check that was returned for insufficient funds. Amount was $1,905.52.

August 28 Victim was working at a bar at 4460 N. Federal Hwy. and believed that a subject stole his cell phone. A hostess at the same establishment also told police that a patron had taken her cell phone. Police questioned two subjects that were believed to be involved, with negative results.

August 28 Someone stole a Rolex wristwatch from a workbench at 3170 N. Federal Hwy. Loss was $300.
