DEERFIELD BEACH

June 29 The operator of Just Tires at 4371 N. Dixie Hwy. reported that 60 tires were missing from the business.

June 29 A man reported his home at 4311 NE 6 Ave. broken into and ransacked. Nothing was stolen.

June 30 A woman reported that she left her bag on the beach at 200 NE 21 Ave. When she returned, the bag was gone. The bag contained 2 iPhones.

June 30 A man was arrested and charged with grand theft. The man was observed stealing an A/C unit from 3413 SW 14 St. The man was found to have two dismantled A/C units in his vehicle. The vehicle had a stolen tag attached.

July 1 A man reported a depth finder valued at $50 stolen from his boat parked at 4220 NE 6 Ave.

July 1 A woman was waiting for a bus at 4800 N. Dixie Hwy. when two men approached her and snatched a gold chain from her neck.

July 1 A man reported that his apartment at Deerfield East Apartments, 1427 SE 8 Ave., was entered. An Xbox, PS3, two televisions and a laptop were stolen.

July 1 A woman reported a necklace made of gold and diamonds was missing from a dresser drawer in her guest bedroom at her home at 1111 SE 14 St. There was no sign of forced entry and the woman said only a neighbor has access to a hidden key.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

June 28 Residential burglary was reported in Starlight Cove on NW 41 Way between 1 and 4:45 p.m. Victim stated unknown suspect(s) entered residence via a sliding rear door. Once inside, suspect(s) removed electronics, silverware and jewelry.

June 25 Residential burglary occurred in Meadow Lakes on SW 15 Street between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Unknown person smashed front door window and stole jewelry, camera, and pillow case from home. Scene was processed, area canvassed.

June 25 Grand theft took place in Country Knolls Mobile Home Park on NW 4 Terrace between 4 and 4:45 p.m. Victim advised that unknown suspects disconnected and stole air conditioner. Victim’s neighbor advised that he saw a white pick-up driven by two white males leaving from his neighbor’s house, from area where air conditioner was.

June 20 Arrest was made in armed robbery at Bank Atlantic Parking lot on 1299 S. Military Trail at 11:20 p.m. BSO deputies responded to an armed robbery at the Bank Atlantic. Two victims had just retrieved money from the ATM when they were approached by an armed suspect. The victims were relieved of their money before the suspect fled on foot toward a nearby apartment complex. Deputies arrived quickly, set up a perimeter and apprehended the suspect. The victims’ money, as well as the gun used during the crime, was recovered.

June 22 It was reported that two vehicles were broken into and burglarized at 3220 N. Federal Hwy. The two vehicles had their windows smashed. From each car, a wallet was stolen.

June 22 A man reported that his home at 4931 NE 27 Ave. was entered and $60 in cash and several thousand dollars in jewelry was stolen.

June 23 A woman reported that two cars she owns were entered and rummaged through. Nothing was taken. Incident was reported at 2765 NE 25 St.

June 23 It was reported that a vehicle parked at 2685 NE 25 St. was broken into and an iPhone was stolen.

June 25 A man reported that an American flag was stolen from in front of the Bateman, Gordon & Sands Building at 3050 N. Federal Hwy.

June 23 A man reported that his neighbor stole his van from 1480 SW 11 Way.

June 23 A man reported being pushed to the ground by a man who then stole his gold chain. The incident took place at 1100 SW 1 Way.

June 24 It was reported that a motorcycle was stolen from Public Storage at 3350 SW 10 St.

June 24 It was reported that a home was burglarized at 511 NE 45 Court. The interior of the home was checked and no items were missing.

June 24 A man was arrested and charged with forgery of a credit card and grand theft. He used a fake credit card in an attempt to deprive West Marine of $1,749.48 worth of merchandise. The incident was reported at 110 Federal Hwy.

DEERFIELD – District 4

June 4-5 Conveyance burglary was reported in the Gates of Hillsboro on NW 2 Court between 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. Unknown subject smashed drivers window and drivers rear window and ransacked the vehicle. However, nothing was taken.

June 4 Auto theft took place at the Pine Tree Apartments at 500 Lock Rd. between 12 and 5 a.m. Unknown person stole company work vehicle from Pine Tree Apartment parking lot. Vehicle contained about $40,000 in tools that were stolen. Detective was on scene. Vehicle was entered in TTY.

June 14 The manager of a CVS store said he saw a man place a canister of mineral ice valued at $18.99 in a bag and leave the store without paying. The manager said he could have taken other items. The man left in car. Incident was reported at 3580 N. Federal Hwy.

June 16 A woman reported lawn equipment stolen from her home at 2800 NE 46 St. Estimated value of the equipment was $1,000.

June 17 A husband and wife reported their home at 2131 NE 33 St. burglarized. Drawers were rummaged through. A debit card was stolen and used at a gas station. Two watches and earrings were also stolen.

June 14 A break-in was reported at 538 NE 46 Court in the Breezy Hills Mobile Home Park. Nothing was reported stolen, but a bedroom was disturbed.

June 14 A man entered his home at 1331 S. Dixie Hwy. and saw that his brother’s laptop computer was missing. He then saw a man enter through the front door and throw his brother’s MetroPCS phone into the living room and flee.

June 15 A woman reported that her home at 831 NE 51 Court was broken into and a TV, Blu Ray player and Xbox were stolen. Estimated value of the stolen items was $1,668.

June 16 It was reported that 26 chargers were stolen from Crystal Lake Golf Club at 3810 Crystal Lake Dr. Estimated value of the chargers was $12,000.

June 16 A woman reported that her home at 225 SW 1 Terr. was entered and two window air conditioning units were taken.

June 17 It was reported that a man stole two air conditioning units from the rear of an apartment building at 651 NW 42 Court. Estimated value of the units was $2,500.

June 17 A women stopped at a Mobile station at 1200 W. Hillsboro Blvd. to purchase gas. She entered the station to pay for the gas. When she returned to her car, she noticed that her purse was missing. The purse contained cash, credit cards and a cell phone.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

June 4-5 Conveyance burglary was reported on NW 38 Way, NW 5 Dr. (three vehicles), NW 3 Place, Gates of Hillsboro and Starlight Cove between 9 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered five vehicles. Four of the vehicles were unlocked and, in the fifth, the suspect smashed the driver’s side window. iPod and laptop were missing.

June 6 It was reported that an altercation occurred between two women at the Publix Supermarket at 2450 N. Federal Hwy. One of the women was issued a trespass warning barring her from returning to the Publix. But she refused to sign the warning without consulting an attorney.

June 8 A man was arrested and charged with felony narcotics at 4700 NE 2 Way. During a traffic stop, he was found in possession of crack cocaine.

June 8 A man reported that someone broke into his home at 660 Siesta Key and stole an Xbox and games.

June 10 At the Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd., a woman was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She stole $158.95 worth of clothing.

June 10 A man was arrested and charged with felony narcotics at 200 SW 3 Ave. During a traffic stop, the man was found to be in possession of cocaine.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

June 2 The manager of a CVS Pharmacy at 3580 N. Federal Hwy. reported that a man stole beer from the store. The manager observed the man placing the beer in a bag and then saw him leave without paying for it. Police stopped the man and the beer was returned. The manager declined to press charges, but the man was issued a trespass warning. The man was then transported to a hospital by Lighthouse Point Fire Rescue for knee pain and alcohol intoxication.

June 2 A woman parked her car in the Bead & Art parking lot at 5034 N. Federal Hwy. and went to work. After work, she returned to her car and found the passenger-side window smashed and the glove compartment rummaged through. Nothing was reported taken.

June 2 It was reported that seven cars were entered and rummaged through. Nothing of value was taken. Report was made at 428 SE 11 St.

June 3 A woman reported that a man came up to her and stole a gold chain from her neck and then entered a waiting car. Incident took place at 4200 NW 3 Ave.

June 3 A man reported his dump truck and a trailer containing about $17,000 worth of lawn equipment stolen from 3470 Deer Creek Country Club Blvd.

June 3 A woman reported that someone smashed the passenger side window of her car and stole two credit cards and a checkbook. Incident took place at 2403 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

June 3 A man was arrested and charged with felony retail theft, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine. The man stole $40,67 worth of items from Home Depot at 60 SW 12 Ave. He was found in possession of a crack cocaine pipe and a concealed weapon.

June 3 A man was arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication at 191 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

June 3 A car was stopped at 1000 SE 4 Ave. after passengers were observed throwing narcotics out the window. Two individuals were arrested and charged with possession of narcotics. One person was arrested and charged with DUI.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

May 19 – 29 Residential burglary attempt was reported in Deer Creek Run, Deer Creek. Owner was notified by a neighbor that the side door next to the garage door to his home was open. Closer investigation showed attempt was made to push in plywood placed inside that door’s entrance. However, it was not breached. Person(s) easily pulled open side door but were unable to make entry into the home because of the plywood. Alarm inside home was activated. Interior was also checked by housekeeper, who found no entry damage or loss.

May 30 It was reported that an attempt was made to break into two cars parked at the Sheehan Autoplex at 2800 N. Federal Hwy. Both cars were damaged in the attempt.

May 29 A man reported his car parked at 2401 NE 36 St. broken into and coins stolen.

May 29 A man reported that he rented a car in Albany, NY from Hertz Rental Company and drove it to Florida. The man said he allowed a woman to use the car and she never returned it. Eventually, he was able to contact the woman, who said she would return the car to Hertz in Albany. This never happened. A representative from Hertz spoke with the man and said the car was never returned. Report was made at 2359 Vintage Dr.

Bad attitude Rocker shouldn’t throw stones

Surveillance video captured two incidents of a rock-slinging vandal who hurled stones at high-end cars parked at an auto dealership in Deerfield Beach.  The incidents happened around 11:15 p.m. May 11 and 11:30 p.m. May 17 at Domani Motors, 70 SW 10 St., Deerfield Beach.

In the first incident, the video shows the man in jeans and a T-shirt riding a bicycle with another shirt tied around his head. He threw a rock that smashed the windshield of a 2007 black Jaguar.

Six days later, cameras captured the man walking up to a row of high-end vehicles and repeatedly hurling stones at the cars.  He caused more than $20,000 damage to three Bentleys and a 2001 Lotus, in addition to the Jaguar.

May 22 A woman reported that her home at 801 NE 51 St. was broken into and jewelry was stolen.

May 23 A man reported that his car parked at 4341 NW 6 Ave. was broken into. A DVD player, radar detector, pliers and wrench were stolen.

May 23 It was reported that a man stole coffee equipment valued at $650 from Armstrong Fitness. The man was a former employee of Armstrong Fitness.

May 23 A woman reported that while friends visited her home at 224 SE 9 Ave., #9, someone stole her iPhone from her nightstand.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

May 22 Fraud arrest was made during an ongoing investigation. Suspect was identified after using a stolen credit card taken from a December 2011 residential burglary in Villa D’Este. Suspect was located and agreed to meet with detectives. Post Miranda warning, he admitted he was given the credit card from a known associate as part of a payment he was owed. Suspect fraudulently purchased an iPad from Target. Teletype confirmed two misdemeanor warrants. Suspect was charged with identity theft and the two warrants.

May 20 Conveyance burglary occurred at Constitution Park, 2841 W. Hillsboro Blvd., between 3-5 p.m. Victim parked in the parking lot of Constitution Park to use the children’s playground. Upon returning to car, the right front passenger window was smashed out and a Touchpad was removed from the front passenger seat. The Touchpad was covered by notebooks and a sweater. No witnesses.

May 19 A woman reported that three women approached her while she unloaded groceries into her car at Publix at 3700 N. Federal Hwy. One woman stole her purse. Victim reported that unusual charges began to appear on her credit card shortly after the theft.

May 18 A woman reported that her car parked at 1601 E. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into and a backpack and purse were stolen.

May 19-20 It was reported that five vehicles parked at the Hampton Inn at 660 W. Hillsboro Blvd. were broken into. Items stolen included golf clubs, camera, headphones, coins and other items.

May 20 A woman reported that her car parked at Constitution Park at 2841 W. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into and a HP TouchPad was stolen.

May 20 A woman reported that she allowed a person to borrow her car, but that person never returned. Incident was reported at 109 Lock Rd.

May 20 A man reported his lawnmower and trailer stolen from the side of his business at 849 S. Deerfield Ave.

May 20 A vehicle parked at 1271 SW 6 Way was entered and a handgun was stolen.

May 20 A man and a woman were arrested and charged with burglary of an occupied residence at 5051 NE 6 Ave.

DEERFIELD – District 4

May 16 Burglary arrests were made in Deer Run at SW 3 and SW 4 streets. There were two residential burglaries in Deer Run over the past week. Detectives arrested three individuals on Wednesday. The arrested individuals confessed to the crimes. Broward Sheriff’s Office also recovered all the property for the victims.

May 15 A woman reported her car parked at 4500 N. Federal Hwy. broken into. Attempt was made to steal the car’s radio and in the process, the interior of the car was damaged. A steam vacuum cleaner was stolen.

May 11 A man reported a laptop stolen from his residence at 4711 NE 3 Ave.

May 12 A woman reported that someone entered her home at 3270 SW 3 St. and stole jewelry and a video system. Total loss was estimated at $1,500.

May 12 It was reported that a set of women’s golf clubs, valued at $1,400, was stolen from an unlocked garage at 549 Emerald Way.

May 13 It was reported that the Sumo Restaurant at 3354 W. Hillsboro Blvd. was burglarized.

May 13 A woman reported that someone entered her residence at 4230 NE 4 Ave. and stole jewelry and shoes.

May 13 An employee of the Family Dollar store at 4811 N. Dixie Hwy. reported that a woman stole $12.99 worth of items.

May 13 A man from the United Kingdom reported that $680 in cash was missing from a small bag he had placed in his luggage at La Quinta Inn. It was reported that a supervisor at the hotel is suspicious of a housekeeper.

May 13 A man reported that someone entered his car parked at 889 NE 5 St. and stole a pair of sunglasses, valued at $300.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

May 9 Arrest was made in a burglary on Lob Lolly Lane in Deer Creek. Victim was taking a shower at residence and heard loud knocking on the window in an adjacent room. Victim observed the suspect attempting to gain entry into the residence.

BSO deputies responded to the burglary-in-progress. A perimeter was quickly established before K9 “Grando” located the suspect hiding a block away in the bushes. A second suspect, who deputies believe was the getaway driver, was also detained.

May 7-9 Residential burglary was reported on Lob Lolly Lane in Deer Creek. Rear slider was smashed out and residence ransacked. Unknown loss at this time.

May 7 A woman reported that she was depositing $3,000 in cash for her employer, Denny’s, at Wells Fargo at 3550 N. Federal Hwy. A man approached her, pointed a gun at her, and demanded the money. The man also shoved the woman against her car. The woman gave the man the money. She reported injuries sustained from being shoved against the car.

May 7 A woman was teaching a class at Water’s Edge Yoga, 2016 NE 36 St., the business she manages. She saw two women enter the business and leave. The woman then reported that her wallet containing $400, a driver’s license and a debit card were missing. While she was searching for the wallet, she received a call that her debit card was being used to make large purchases.

May 8 A man was making a deposit at a Bank of America ATM machine at 2850 N. Federal Hwy. Two men attacked him and stole his wallet. The men left the scene in a car but were tracked by police. The two men were arrested and charged with the robbery.

May 8 A store manager at CVS Pharmacy at 3580 N. Federal Hwy. reported that a man stole $346.90 worth of items. The manager followed the man out of the store and grabbed the items back. The man who had stolen the items left the scene.

May 4 A woman reported her minivan parked at 3650 SW 10 St.broken into and a purse with a driver’s license, passport and Social Security card stolen.

May 4 It was reported that a truck was stolen from 1901Green Rd.

May 4 An attempt to burglarize a residence at 4296 NW5 Dr. was reported. An individual tried to pry open a rear sliding glass door.

May 4 A woman reported her car stolen from her apartment complex at 700 Rich Dr.

May 4 A woman reported that someone stole her phone while she was swimming at the beach. Report was made at200 NE 21 Ave.

May 5 A man reported that he left the door to his residence open at 43 NW 45 Ave. He saw a man steal his television set.

May 5 A car parked at 241 NW 3 Court was entered and ransacked but nothing was reported stolen.

May 6 A man reported a woman’s bicycle stolen from his neighbor’s home at 43 NW 45 Ave.

May 6 A man reported a cooler filled with fish he had caught stolen from his truck parked at 936 SE 5 Court.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

May 5 Burglary to an occupied residence was reported at Quiet Waters Apartments on NW 45 Avenue at 4:25 a.m.Victim reported leaving sliding glass door open while other occupant went outside. Victim observed a black male in his living room taking a 36″ TV valued at $300. Perimeter was established, police and K-9 responded, and Papa unit was dispatched with negative results.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

April 26 A woman stole $24.56 worth of products from Publix at 2450 N. Federal Hwy. She and a man were found in a car in the parking lot. The products were returned and the manager declined to press charges. However, the man and woman signed a Lighthouse Point trespass warning and were told not to return to the Publix.

April 29 A woman reported that a woman she knows took the wallet of a man. Report was filed at 2141 NE 42 St. The wallet was later recovered but $30 was missing. The man declined to press charges.

April 30 A man reported that his car parked at 2431 NE46 St. was entered and change, a GPS, and an iPhone charging cable were stolen.
