Palm Con returned for the first time since 2016 on October 2 to The American Polish Club in Greenacres, the place where it all began 10 years ago. The event, officially called Palm Con: The Palm Beach County Comic Book and Collectibles Show, had a big room filled with over 50 vendors selling their crafts, comic books, artwork, books and other merchandise to a happy crowd. There was a costume contest for those who really got into the theme. The Society for Creative Anachronism had a battle outside. Inside, there were other activities throughout the day, like a Mad-Libs Draw Off and other panels.
After taking a short time off from hosting PalmCon to focus on his other business – Cosmic Times ( a comic book publishing house) he felt that the 10th anniversary was a perfect opportunity to bring PalmCon back. Continuing to be a community centric show, PalmCon has partnered with the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and the Palm Beach County Library System to help promote the arts and literacy on a local level.
Also PalmCon is involved with several local schools to help them with their fundraising efforts in these challenging times.
