DEERFIELD BEACH

Jan. 15 A woman reported that her home at 1003 SE 12 Ave. was broken into. Nothing was stolen but there was evidence of a burglary.

Jan. 15 A man was arrested and charged with felony narcotics at 1000 S. Dixie Hwy. Following a traffic stop, the man was found to be in possession of cocaine.

Jan. 15 A man was arrested and charged with stealing nine mobile home stabilizers. He entered a fenced complex at 285 NE 48 St. The man sold the units to Capitol Scrap. Suspect was identified on a video and found in the Main Jail on an unrelated.

Jan. 15 A woman reported a residential burglary at 930 NE 50 St. Two bottles of vodka and a radio were stolen.

Jan. 16 A man was arrested and charged with burglary conveyance at 118 SE 14 St. The man stole change from a vehicle.

Jan. 16 A woman left her apartment at 743 Siesta Key #1212. When she returned, she noticed the residence had been burglarized. She reported two televisions, two laptops and other electronic equipment stolen as well as jewelry and a drill.

Jan. 16 U.S. Wrecking and Land Clearing Inc. reported an air compressor stolen from1050 E. Newport Center Dr.

Jan. 17 A man reported his car parked at 666 Siesta Key Circle entered. Three credit cards, a Florida driver’s license, two checks, sneakers and wallet were stolen.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan. 7 Armed robbery occurred at Michael’s, at 3701 W. Hillsboro Blvd/ Black male subject, approximately 5’7″ to 5’9″ and 160 lbs., thin build, dressed in white long- sleeved sweater, white pants, white tennis shoes, and a white baseball cap, entered Michael’s Arts and Crafts at approximately 11:30 a.m. Subject selected a spool of yarn from the shelf, brought it to the cashier. As the cashier was placing the yarn in the bag, the subject produced a black snub-nosed revolver, vaulted the counter, and demanded that the cashier open the cash register. Victim opened the cash register, and the subject removed approximately $398 in cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Robbery unit was on scene. Latent fingerprints were lifted from the counter. Surveillance video was obtained by the Robbery Unit.

Jan. 8 Residential burglary was reported in Deer Creek on Deer Creek Road at 1:32 a.m. Subjects smashed the front glass, entered the residence and searched through drawers and jewelry boxes. Unknown loss at this time.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Jan. 3 The manager of a Publix at 3700 N. Federal Hwy. detained a man for stealing a sandwich. The manager declined prosecution and the man was released.

Jan. 9 A man reported hurricane shelters stolen from his home at 2150 NE 48 Court. He was able to recover many of the shutters. y.

Jan. 11 It was reported that a man stole a cell phone from a wall at an AT & T facility at 411 S. Federal Hwy.

Jan. 12 A man reported that an MP3 player and jewelry valued at $450 was taken from his residence at 805 Freedom Court. The man said that he believes he knows the man who took the items.

Jan. 12 A woman was stopped on a traffic matter at 100 S. Military Trail. The deputy found that she had a suspended license and an active warrant for possession of marijuana. The woman and another woman in the car were found in possession of heroin and arrested and charged with a narcotics felony.

Jan. 12 A man was stopped for a traffic violation at 500 W. Hillsboro Blvd. The man was observed trying to eat crack cocaine. The man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony.

Jan. 12 A man reported that his car was stolen from his home at 274 SE 8 Terr.

Jan. 12 A man reported his car stolen from 1645 SE 3 Court.

Jan. 13 A man reported his moped stolen from 2031 NE 2 St. The man said he believes he knows the man who stole it.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Jan. 5 The manager of a Publix Supermarket at 2450 N. Federal Hwy. reported that a man stole $91.12 worth of beer. The man was detained at the Publix. The manager declined to press charges but the man was issued a trespass warning and told not to return to the store.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Jan. 4 A woman reported that as she was placing groceries into her car in the parking lot of Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Boulevard, a man snatched her gold chain from her neck and purse from her shoulder. The man fled in a car.

Jan. 4 A man reported that his home at 381 SE 15 Ave. was broken into and clothing, electronics and jewelry were taken.

Jan. 4 A man reported a residential burglary at 1180 NW 49 Court. The burglary took place through an open rear window.

Jan. 6 A woman reported that her car parked at 1829 W. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into and a bag containing a driver’s license, debit card and Social Security card were stolen.

Jan. 6 A home at 957 SW 15 St. was broken into. Three men live at the home. One man reported that $200, an iPod and a laptop computer were stolen from him. Another man reported that $310 was stolen from him. A third man reported that his drawers were rifled through but nothing was stolen.

Jan. 6 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 286 SW 1 Terr. He was found to be in possession of cocaine.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Dec. 27 Grand theft was reported on Jefferson Drive in Deer Creek. Victim advised that unknown suspect(s) removed her iPad from her residence while a technician was installing cable within her residence. She stated that the iPad was on the table next to her TV, where the work was being done. She discovered that it was missing when she returned home to inspect the work. Loss: $900. Tracking was attempted but device was turned off.

Dec. 30 Burglary to a business took place at Papa John’s at 3869 W. Hillsboro Blvd. General Manager came in at approximately 8:20 a.m. to open up the store and discovered a burglary to the business. Unknown suspect pried open the rear door and targeted the safe, which was cut into with an unknown type tool. Total loss: $1,619 was reported stolen. Crime scene was processed, with latent fingerprints lifted and photos taken. Video was available but needed to be downloaded.

Jan. 2 A woman reported that her car was broken into at 3128 N. Federal Hwy. The driver’s side window was removed. A bottle of perfume, two gift cards and $10 in loose change was stolen. A man working construction nearby said he saw a man reach into the car and then flee.

Jan.2 A woman reported that a man entered her office in the staff area of the First International Title store at 2034 NE 36 St. The woman said the man was holding her purse and had taken a leather checkbook and two gift cards.

Dec. 23 A woman was locking up the Dollar Tree at 1345 S. Military Trail when a man came up to her. The man grabbed the store deposit bag from her and fled into a waiting car. The deposit bag contained $3,912.

Dec. 23 A man was arrested and charged with burglary of a residence at 560 SE 2 Ave. The man entered the apartment through a window. The victim returned home and saw the man in the home with a laptop in his hand. The man dove out the window and the victim chased the man and tackled him. The victim and a neighbor held the man until law enforcement arrived.

Dec. 24 A man reported that two men attempted to open a window to his home at 290 SW 2 St. The victim confronted the two men with a handgun. One of the men attempting to break into the home had a BB gun, which he dropped. Both suspects fled. The BB gun and the man’s handgun were entered into evidence.

Dec. 25 A woman hired King Moving & Storage to assist her in moving to her home in Coconut Creek. She had placed an engagement ring valued at $2,000 in a jewelry box. After the movers had been in her home, she discovered the ring missing. Incident was reported at 92 Centennial Court.

Dec. 25 A man was arrested and charged with stealing an automobile. The victim flagged a deputy and the car was followed to Delray Beach. Driver exited at I-95 and Atlantic Boulevard and crashed into a business. The man was taken to North Broward Medical Center for clearance. Incident was reported at 900 SW 10 St.

Dec. 26 A woman reported that her car parked in the Walgreens parking lot at 20 SW 12 Ave. was entered and her purse was stolen.

Dec. 26 An individual cut the fence at the Infratech Compound at 790 NE 48 St. and stole a generator and tools from two company trucks. The loss was estimated at $2,220.

Dec. 26 A man was arrested and charged with a felony possession of narcotics at 500 SW 3 Ave.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Dec. 21 Grand theft was reported on Deer Creek Road in Deer Creek. Complainant reported that between 5:40 p.m. on Dec. 20 and 8:45 a.m. on Dec. 21, unknown person(s) stole all the rims and tires valued at $2,000 from her 2011 Nissan Altima parked at this location. Vehicle was processed and the area was canvassed.

Dec. 21 Auto theft was reported at 4100 N. Powerline Rd. at 4:18 p.m. Complainant stated that he received a call from the Ft. Lauderdale Police regarding a company truck that had been recovered by them at 2:17 a.m. at 24 Avenue and W. Sunrise Boulevard. Complainant said he parked his vehicle at 4100 N. Powerline Rd. Review of the surveillance video showed two suspects in a dark color Grand Prix arriving at approximately 9:42 p.m. on Dec. 20 and taking the vehicle. Vehicle had been towed by Ft. Lauderdale PD to West way yard in Lauderdale Lakes.

Dec. 24 Conveyance burglary occurred on SW 15 Street – Meadow Lakes / Meadowridge. Victim advised that at approximately 11 a.m. she parked her car (White 2002 BMW) in the parking lot. Her white 4S IPhone (valued at $300) was on top of the center console at that time. When she returned at approximately 11:45 a.m., her phone was missing. Victim advised that her husband left the car doors unlocked.

Dec. 24 Armed robbery took place at the Sprint Store at 2301 W. Sample Rd. After the store closed and the last customer left, Suspect No.1 knocked incessantly. Employee No. 1 cracked open the door to advise the person to come back tomorrow when Suspect No.2 burst in, brandishing what appeared to be a TEC9.

Dec. 18 A man was arrested and charged with grand theft. He stole $45,000 worth of specialized sprinkler and irrigation equipment from Hector Turf at 1301 NW 3 St. Some of the items were found for sale on eBay.

Dec. 19 A man left a work site in Miramar with a spool of copper wire. He dropped off the wire at the home of an exemployee using a company work vehicle (vehicle has a GPS system that shows that it was at the home of ex-employee). Theft was reported at 790 NE 48 St. and involved copper wire valued at $400 belonging to Infratech Corp.

Dec. 20 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 4591 N. Dixie Hwy. He was found to be in possession of crack cocaine.

Dec. 20 A motorcycle was stolen from a parking lot at 666 Siesta Key Circle.

 

DEERFIELD District 4

Dec. 3 Burglary to a business was reported at 1803 S. Powerline Rd. at United Rental. Between 12 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 6 a.m. on Dec. 3, a hole was cut in the rear perimeter fence and a $16,000 blue Miller welding machine (model BB500CCCV) was taken along with a wheeled trailer that it was placed on.

Dec.14 A man was arrested and charged with burglary of a dwelling armed, grand theft firearm and grand theft. The man broke into his cousin’s home at 836 NE 52 Street and stole $7,750 worth of property including a firearm.

Dec. 15 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 800 S. Dixie Hwy. The man was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and Xanax.

Dec.15 A woman reported that her car parked at 887 Siesta Key was entered and a bipod and GPS were stolen.

Dec. 15 During a traffic stop at 200 W. Hillsboro Blvd., one man was arrested and charged with driving with no valid driver’s license and another man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony after being found in possession of cocaine.

Dec. 16 A woman reported that a man snatched a purse from her shoulder while she was in the Publix parking lot at 3740 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Dec. 16 A woman was arrested and charged with strong arm robbery at 5109 NE 1 Terr. The woman threw the victim down to the ground by her hair and stole $100 from her. The woman was located later and arrested.

Dec.16 A woman reported that on Dec. 12, someone broke into her home at 4090 NW 3 Terr. through the back window and stole a camera valued at $110 and a laptop computer valued at $600.

DEERFIELD – District 4


Dec. 3 Burglary to a business was reported in the 600 SW 12 Ave. quadrant between 6 p.m. Nov. 30 and 8 a.m. Dec. 3. Accordion shutters were removed from the railing.

Dec. 7 A woman reported that an attempt was made to break into her home at 2142 NE 27 Court. She said some of the glass on a door to her home was broken and window sealing was pulled from a window.

Dec. 8 It was reported that a woman’s sunglasses were stolen from a car parked at 4851 NE 27 Terr. The woman was able to recover the sunglasses from a collection of items taken in multiple burglaries.

Dec. 9 A man reported that his home at 2510 NE 44 St. was broken into and closets in the home’s bedroom were ransacked. Nothing was stolen from the home.

Dec. 7 A man reported that his car parked at 825 W. Sample Rd. was broken into and $160 in rolled quarters, a duffel bag with papers, and bag containing keys were stolen.

Dec. 7 A woman reported that someone broke into her home at 2178 Deer Creek Country Club Blvd. and stole jewelry valued at several thousand dollars.

Dec. 7 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 4700 NE 2 Way. The man was observed eating crack cocaine.

Dec. 9 A man reported that another man walked up to him in the Wendy’s parking lot at 1197 S. Military Trail and asked for money. The man refused to give the suspect the money. Suspect then pushed the man on his chest and grabbed the man’s gold chain, valued at $120, and fled.

Dec. 9 It was reported that a home at 1100 SW 8 Ave. was entered. Suspect stole a laptop computer, shoes and money – for a total loss of $7,290.

Dec. 9 A car parked the Extended Stay at 1200 SW 11 Way was broken into. Jewelry and coins were stolen. Total loss was estimated at $1,750.

DEERFIELD District 4

Dec. 1 Residential burglary took place on Kelley Brook Lane – Deer Creek. Victim stated that between 2 and 4 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered her residence by prying open a rear sliding door. Once inside, suspect(s) removed jewelry boxes and jewelry.

Dec. 3 Converyance burglary was reported at 4600 N. Powerline Rd. At 4:46 a.m., unknown person smashed a passenger window and stole a Navigation radio, also chipped the steering column in apparent attempt to steal vehicle. Vehicle processed. Latent fingerprints were retrieved.

Dec.1 A woman was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 300 E. Sample Rd. She was stopped on a traffic matter and found to be in possession of cocaine.

Dec. 1 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 5111 NE 6 Ave. Deputies responded to a disturbance call and saw the man discard cocaine.

Dec. 2 A man was arrested and charged with shoplifting at Publix at 1337 S. Military Trail. The man stole $36.85 worth of merchandise from the store.

Dec. 2 A man was observed stealing a 12-pack of beer from CVS at 1829 W. Hillsboro Blvd. The man is known to have stolen from other CVS stores. His theft was recorded on surveillance video.

Dec. 2 A man reported his car stolen from 820 Tivoli CC.

Dec. 2 A man was observed driving up to Olympia Flame Diner at 60 S. Federal Hwy. The man smashed the window of another car, reached in and stole a beach bag and a laptop valued at $500.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Nov. 19 Conveyance burglary was reported at Target, 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Sometime between 12:55 and 1:10 p.m., an unknown suspect smashed out the right passenger window of a work truck and took a backpack with some personal belongings. Reporter of the crime parked the truck and went shopping in Target. There were no witnesses.

Nov. 19 Conveyance burglary took place at Klinik Spa & Nails, 1903 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Between 10:20 and 11 a.m., (V1) 2012 Toyota Highlander FL tag #ALPG96, parked to the rear of the business. Unknown suspect broke driver-side front window to gain entry into the vehicle. Suspect stole a purse, $400 cash, Prada sunglasses and Bank of America checkbook. Crime scene was processed, latent fingerprints lifted.

Nov. 19 Residential burglary occurred in Riverglen on NW 1 Drive at 4:15 p.m. Master bathroom window was pried open. Victim left home at 1 p.m. to run some errands. Upon returning at 2:41 p.m., she discovered the front door unlocked and the interior of the house ransacked. Laptop computers, jewelry, watches were taken. The area was canvassed and latent fingerprints lifted.

Nov. 27 A woman reported that two men stole her vehicle and her cell phone from 3150 NE 48 Court. One man pointed a gun at the woman and demanded she give up her car. She did so. The car was later recovered at 5370 NE 5 Terr.

Nov. 27 It was reported that a home at 3215 NE 27 Terr. was broken into and a computer stolen from the kitchen. The upstairs bedroom was ransacked.

Nov. 29 A woman reported that while she was shopping at the Dollar Tree at 3780 N. Federal Hwy., two women bumped into her. She thought it was an accident, until she went to the register. Then she realized her billfold with $90 and Florida Driver’s License was stolen.

Nov. 22 A man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief. He was identified on video surveillance as having scratched a car that resulted in $113.32 worth of damages. The incident was reported at 860 SE 6 Ave., #301.

Nov. 23 A man reported that his car parked at 248 S. Federal Hwy. was entered. A wallet, containing $150, identifications and credit cards, was stolen.

Nov. 23 A man reported that his car parked at 1000 E. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into and ransacked. Nothing was reported stolen.

Nov. 24 A man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after he threatened a man with a knife at 4517 N. Dixie Hwy. The man was also found to be in possession of cocaine.

Nov. 24 It was reported that a man entered a business at 3318 W. Hillsboro Blvd. The man stole two computers and fled from the store.

Nov. 25 A woman reported her purse stolen from the Asian Buffet & Grill at 240 S. Federal Hwy. The purse was valued at $2,000 and it contained an iPhone, passport, jewelry, credit cards and cash. Total loss was about $3,000.

Nov. 25 A woman reported that her daughter was the victim of an assault. The mother confronted the man about a threatening message he left on her daughter’s voice mail. The man and the daughter had been dating but had broken up. The man pulled a knife and threatened to kill the mother or the daughter. The man then pushed the daughter to the ground, causing a minor injury. The man fled the area. Incident was reported at 5291 NE 10 Ave.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Nov. 15 A woman came home from work and found that someone had broken into her home at 3150 NE 48 Court and rummaged through the bedroom closet. The thief found a jewelry container and stole two rings, 50 Native American jewelry items, 20 women’s earrings, 50 watches and one bed pillowcase. Total loss was $10,905.

Nov. 18 A woman reported that she hired a man to help her move some boxes from her residence. They decided to go to lunch at Arby’s. The man drove the car. The woman reported that while at the Arby’s drive-thru, the man reached into her purse and stole $200. The woman did not know the name of the man. The incident was reported at 3784 N. Federal Hwy.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Nov. 18 A mobile home at 180 NW 51 St. was broken into. Televisions, DVD players and audio equipment were stolen for a total loss of $3,195.

Nov. 18 A man reported that his former roommate stole 15 bottles of liquor and about $70,000 worth of jewelry from him over the past several months. The incident was reported at 657 Hollows Circle.

Nov. 18 Two men were observed manipulating gas pumps to steal 50 gallons of gas at Texaco at 4517 N. Dixie Hwy.

Nov. 18 A woman reported that her home at 4250 NE 3 Ave. was broken into. She did not know if anything was stolen.

Nov. 18 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony. The man was stopped for a traffic violation at 3770 NE 3 Ave. An investigation revealed he was in possession of cocaine.

Nov. 18 A woman left her apartment on 705 Mermaid Drive. When she returned, she noticed her television valued at $200 and her computer valued at $300 were stolen. There were no signs of forced entry and she believes her former roommate may have taken the items.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Nov.13 Burglary to a business was reported at Pollo Tropical, 1051 S. Military Trail, at 2:49 p.m. Deputies responded to an alarm and discovered the front door smashed. Surveillance video revealed a black male suspect wearing all black with a white shirt covering his head and wearing long dark gloves. One minute prior to the burglary, taillights (3 brake lights) from an unknown make/model car were seen driving near the back door. Suspect attempted to take the register drawer but was unable to remove it. Suspect left business 2 minutes after entering. Manager will call back when they are able to provide a copy of the video.

Nov. 13 Area canvass revealed an attempted burglary to a business (Bakery 2000) at 2100 SW 10 ST., #C. The hurricane-proof glass door was broken, but no entry was made.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Nov. 9 A man was arrested and charged with a bank robbery at TD Bank at 3600 N. Federal Hwy. The man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The man left the bank with $872 in currency. He escaped in a car that was later found by police. They found his driver’s registration. Police used the registration to get a description of the suspect and were able to track him down.

Nov. 9 A woman reported that someone stole a lacrosse goalie net from their front yard on NE 24 Street.
