DEERFIELD BEACH

Feb. 8 A man was arrested and charged with felony narcotics at 4791 N. Dixie Hwy. He was found in possession of crack cocaine.

Feb. 8 It was reported that a male employee of Century Motors of South Florida at 4701 N. Dixie Hwy. took a work vehicle and never returned.

Feb. 9 It was reported that a business at 3996 W. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into through the roof and a small safe with black signed business checks was stolen.

Feb. 9 A man was arrested and charged with stealing a bicycle from Publix at 150 S. Federal Hwy. A woman had left her unlocked bicycle in front of the store.

Feb.10 A woman reported her car stolen from a parking lot at 3840 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Feb. 10 A woman reported that a man approached her while she walked along 300 W. Hillsboro Blvd., and snatched her iPhone and duffel bag.

Feb. 10 Someone entered the B’nai B’rith building at 351 SW 3 Ave. and broke into a vending machine causing $500 in damage and stealing $100 in currency.

Feb. 10 Someone stole 4 rims from a vehicle parked at 67 NE 11 Way. The rims were valued at $6,000.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan. 30 Conveyance burglary was reported in the strip mall at 2201 W. Sample Rd. at 3:17 a.m. An unknown person smashed out the left rear door window of the victim’s 2011 white Toyota Corolla and stole her black-and-white cloth overnight bag containing clothes, make-up and a flat iron off of the rear seat. Total loss was estimated at $150.

Feb. 2 Auto theft was reported in the Pine Tree Apartments at 500 Lock Rd. at 2:42 p.m. Complainant reported that between 11 p.m. on Feb. 1 and 9 a.m. Feb. 2, unknown person(s) had stolen his 2012 Shen Scooter that was parked at this location. The area was canvassed and the vehicle was entered into FCIC/NCIC.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Feb. 2 A man was arrested and charged with breaking into a building with a car — felony criminal mischief — and wearing a mask on the property of others. The man used a car to smash into Custom Rod and Reel at 1835 NE 25 St. The man stole between 12 and 14 reels. All the reels except two were later recovered.

Feb. 3 A woman reported that a home she owns but no longer lives in at 2830 NE 48 St. was entered and beer and a computer were stolen.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Dec.14 A man was arrested and charged with burglary of a dwelling armed, grand theft firearm and grand theft. The man broke into his cousin’s home at 836 NE 52 Street and stole $7,750 worth of property including a firearm.

Dec. 15 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 800 S. Dixie Hwy. The man was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and Xanax.

Dec.15 A woman reported that her car parked at 887 Siesta Key was entered and a bipod and GPS were stolen.

Dec. 15 During a traffic stop at 200 W. Hillsboro Blvd., one man was arrested and charged with driving with no valid driver’s license and another man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony after being found in possession of cocaine.

Dec. 16 A woman reported that a man snatched a purse from her shoulder while she was in the Publix parking lot at 3740 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Dec. 16 A woman was arrested and charged with strong arm robbery at 5109 NE 1 Terr. The woman threw the victim down to the ground by her hair and stole $100 from her. The woman was located later and arrested.

Dec.16 A woman reported that on Dec. 12, someone broke into her home at 4090 NW 3 Terr. through the back window and stole a camera valued at $110 and a laptop computer valued at $600.

DEERFIELD – District 4


Dec. 3 Burglary to a business was reported in the 600 SW 12 Ave. quadrant between 6 p.m. Nov. 30 and 8 a.m. Dec. 3. Accordion shutters were removed from the railing.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Dec. 7 A woman reported that an attempt was made to break into her home at 2142 NE 27 Court. She said some of the glass on a door to her home was broken and window sealing was pulled from a window.

Dec. 8 It was reported that a woman’s sunglasses were stolen from a car parked at 4851 NE 27 Terr. The woman was able to recover the sunglasses from a collection of items taken in multiple burglaries.

Dec. 9 A man reported that his home at 2510 NE 44 St. was broken into and closets in the home’s bedroom were ransacked. Nothing was stolen from the home.

Dec. 7 A man reported that his car parked at 825 W. Sample Rd. was broken into and $160 in rolled quarters, a duffel bag with papers, and bag containing keys were stolen.

Dec. 7 A woman reported that someone broke into her home at 2178 Deer Creek Country Club Blvd. and stole jewelry valued at several thousand dollars.

Dec. 7 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 4700 NE 2 Way. The man was observed eating crack cocaine.

Dec. 9 A man reported that another man walked up to him in the Wendy’s parking lot at 1197 S. Military Trail and asked for money. The man refused to give the suspect the money. Suspect then pushed the man on his chest and grabbed the man’s gold chain, valued at $120, and fled.

Dec. 9 It was reported that a home at 1100 SW 8 Ave. was entered. Suspect stole a laptop computer, shoes and money – for a total loss of $7,290.

Dec. 9 A car parked the Extended Stay at 1200 SW 11 Way was broken into. Jewelry and coins were stolen. Total loss was estimated at $1,750.

DEERFIELD District 4

Dec. 1 Residential burglary took place on Kelley Brook Lane – Deer Creek. Victim stated that between 2 and 4 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered her residence by prying open a rear sliding door. Once inside, suspect(s) removed jewelry boxes and jewelry.

Dec. 3 Converyance burglary was reported at 4600 N. Powerline Rd. At 4:46 a.m., unknown person smashed a passenger window and stole a Navigation radio, also chipped the steering column in apparent attempt to steal vehicle. Vehicle processed. Latent fingerprints were retrieved.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Dec.1 A woman was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 300 E. Sample Rd. She was stopped on a traffic matter and found to be in possession of cocaine.

Dec. 1 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 5111 NE 6 Ave. Deputies responded to a disturbance call and saw the man discard cocaine.

Dec. 2 A man was arrested and charged with shoplifting at Publix at 1337 S. Military Trail. The man stole $36.85 worth of merchandise from the store.

Dec. 2 A man was observed stealing a 12-pack of beer from CVS at 1829 W. Hillsboro Blvd. The man is known to have stolen from other CVS stores. His theft was recorded on surveillance video.

Dec. 2 A man reported his car stolen from 820 Tivoli CC.

Dec. 2 A man was observed driving up to Olympia Flame Diner at 60 S. Federal Hwy. The man smashed the window of another car, reached in and stole a beach bag and a laptop valued at $500.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Nov. 19 Conveyance burglary was reported at Target, 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Sometime between 12:55 and 1:10 p.m., an unknown suspect smashed out the right passenger window of a work truck and took a backpack with some personal belongings. Reporter of the crime parked the truck and went shopping in Target. There were no witnesses.

Nov. 19 Conveyance burglary took place at Klinik Spa & Nails, 1903 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Between 10:20 and 11 a.m., (V1) 2012 Toyota Highlander FL tag #ALPG96, parked to the rear of the business. Unknown suspect broke driver-side front window to gain entry into the vehicle. Suspect stole a purse, $400 cash, Prada sunglasses and Bank of America checkbook. Crime scene was processed, latent fingerprints lifted.

Nov. 19 Residential burglary occurred in Riverglen on NW 1 Drive at 4:15 p.m. Master bathroom window was pried open. Victim left home at 1 p.m. to run some errands. Upon returning at 2:41 p.m., she discovered the front door unlocked and the interior of the house ransacked. Laptop computers, jewelry, watches were taken. The area was canvassed and latent fingerprints lifted.

Nov. 27 A woman reported that two men stole her vehicle and her cell phone from 3150 NE 48 Court. One man pointed a gun at the woman and demanded she give up her car. She did so. The car was later recovered at 5370 NE 5 Terr.

Nov. 27 It was reported that a home at 3215 NE 27 Terr. was broken into and a computer stolen from the kitchen. The upstairs bedroom was ransacked.

Nov. 29 A woman reported that while she was shopping at the Dollar Tree at 3780 N. Federal Hwy., two women bumped into her. She thought it was an accident, until she went to the register. Then she realized her billfold with $90 and Florida Driver’s License was stolen.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Nov. 22 A man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief. He was identified on video surveillance as having scratched a car that resulted in $113.32 worth of damages. The incident was reported at 860 SE 6 Ave., #301.

Nov. 23 A man reported that his car parked at 248 S. Federal Hwy. was entered. A wallet, containing $150, identifications and credit cards, was stolen.

Nov. 23 A man reported that his car parked at 1000 E. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into and ransacked. Nothing was reported stolen.

Nov. 24 A man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after he threatened a man with a knife at 4517 N. Dixie Hwy. The man was also found to be in possession of cocaine.

Nov. 24 It was reported that a man entered a business at 3318 W. Hillsboro Blvd. The man stole two computers and fled from the store.

Nov. 25 A woman reported her purse stolen from the Asian Buffet & Grill at 240 S. Federal Hwy. The purse was valued at $2,000 and it contained an iPhone, passport, jewelry, credit cards and cash. Total loss was about $3,000.

Nov. 25 A woman reported that her daughter was the victim of an assault. The mother confronted the man about a threatening message he left on her daughter’s voice mail. The man and the daughter had been dating but had broken up. The man pulled a knife and threatened to kill the mother or the daughter. The man then pushed the daughter to the ground, causing a minor injury. The man fled the area. Incident was reported at 5291 NE 10 Ave.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Nov. 15 A woman came home from work and found that someone had broken into her home at 3150 NE 48 Court and rummaged through the bedroom closet. The thief found a jewelry container and stole two rings, 50 Native American jewelry items, 20 women’s earrings, 50 watches and one bed pillowcase. Total loss was $10,905.

Nov. 18 A woman reported that she hired a man to help her move some boxes from her residence. They decided to go to lunch at Arby’s. The man drove the car. The woman reported that while at the Arby’s drive-thru, the man reached into her purse and stole $200. The woman did not know the name of the man. The incident was reported at 3784 N. Federal Hwy.

Nov. 18 A mobile home at 180 NW 51 St. was broken into. Televisions, DVD players and audio equipment were stolen for a total loss of $3,195.

Nov. 18 A man reported that his former roommate stole 15 bottles of liquor and about $70,000 worth of jewelry from him over the past several months. The incident was reported at 657 Hollows Circle.

Nov. 18 Two men were observed manipulating gas pumps to steal 50 gallons of gas at Texaco at 4517 N. Dixie Hwy.

Nov. 18 A woman reported that her home at 4250 NE 3 Ave. was broken into. She did not know if anything was stolen.

Nov. 18 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony. The man was stopped for a traffic violation at 3770 NE 3 Ave. An investigation revealed he was in possession of cocaine.

Nov. 18 A woman left her apartment on 705 Mermaid Drive. When she returned, she noticed her television valued at $200 and her computer valued at $300 were stolen. There were no signs of forced entry and she believes her former roommate may have taken the items.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Nov.13 Burglary to a business was reported at Pollo Tropical, 1051 S. Military Trail, at 2:49 p.m. Deputies responded to an alarm and discovered the front door smashed. Surveillance video revealed a black male suspect wearing all black with a white shirt covering his head and wearing long dark gloves. One minute prior to the burglary, taillights (3 brake lights) from an unknown make/model car were seen driving near the back door. Suspect attempted to take the register drawer but was unable to remove it. Suspect left business 2 minutes after entering. Manager will call back when they are able to provide a copy of the video.

Nov. 13 Area canvass revealed an attempted burglary to a business (Bakery 2000) at 2100 SW 10 ST., #C. The hurricane-proof glass door was broken, but no entry was made.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Nov. 9 A man was arrested and charged with a bank robbery at TD Bank at 3600 N. Federal Hwy. The man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The man left the bank with $872 in currency. He escaped in a car that was later found by police. They found his driver’s registration. Police used the registration to get a description of the suspect and were able to track him down.

Nov. 9 A woman reported that someone stole a lacrosse goalie net from their front yard on NE 24 Street.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Nov. 8 A Ford van was stolen from Florida State Restoration Services at 3404 SW 10 St. The van was then used to steal 20 dehumidifiers, 45 blowers and one extractor.

Nov. 8 A residence at 698 Corona Way was broken into through the front door. All three bedrooms on the second floor were ransacked, and costume jewelry and an iPad stolen.

Nov. 8 The Mozart Café at 1250 W. Hillsboro Blvd. was entered through the back door. Metal appliances and two interior A/C units were stolen. Also, a 10 ton Carrier A/C unit and cooling system was stolen from the roof.

Nov. 8 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 800 SW 3 Ave. after a traffic stop. The man tried to eat his marijuana. He had active warrants for various firearms charges.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Oct. 31 Grand theft by a shoplifter was reported at Marshalls, 3852 W. Hillsboro Blvd., at 3:23 p.m. BSO responded to a call from theft prevention at this location, regarding two females who were under surveillance after they were observed placing several items in their purses. Shante Pollardand Laquada Puyol were arrested after they exited the store without paying for the items – approximately $399.87 worth of merchandise. Suspects were transported to the district office, where they were interviewed by district CI detectives. Suspects subsequently were taken to the main jail.

Nov. 1 A man reported that his daughter’s cell phone was stolen from the snack shop at Dan Witt Park at 4521 NE 22 Ave. The man was at the park watching his daughter play soccer.

Nov. 2 Three men were seen on surveillance video, stealing an ice machine valued at about $2,000 from Packy’s Lounge at 4480 N. Federal Hwy. The cut lock and damage to copper pipes meant another $300 in loss to the business.

Nov. 4 The garage of a home at 2060 Deer Creek Country Club Blvd. was entered, and gutters and scrap windows were stolen.

Nov. 4 The operator of Texaco Gas Station at 4517 Dixie Hwy. reported that someone stole $125 worth of fuel from pumps.

Nov. 4 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 3770 NE 3 Ave. He was found to be in possession of cocaine.

Nov. 4 A woman reported her car stolen from Deerfield Beach Apartments at 5380 NE 5 Terr.

Nov. 4 Three armed men entered Popeye’s Chicken at 233 W. Hillsboro Blvd. through an open door at the rear of the restaurant. One man struck the manager in the head with a gun and then stole $875 in cash from the restaurant.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Oct. 25 Two residential burglaries were reported in Country Knolls Mobile Home Park. In the first, complainant on NW 48 Court reported that between 04-22-12 and 10-24-12 unknown person(s) broke into their mobile home. Point of entry (POE)was by prying open the west slider. Taken from the home was a 26” flat screen TV. Scene was processed for latent prints and the area was canvassed.

In the second residential burglary on NW 3 Avenue, complainant reported that between 04-22-12 and 10-24-12 unknown person(s) had broken into their mobile home. POE was the south door. Inspection revealed that nothing was taken from the location. Scene was processed for latent prints and the area was canvassed.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Oct.26 A man reported his home at 3831 NW 3 Ave. broken into. Both bedrooms were ransacked and custom jewelry was stolen.

Oct. 26 A man reported that two men approached him at 5171 NE 8 Ave. One man produced a handgun and demanded everything he had. The man turned over a gold necklace valued at $500. The owner of the nearest residence walked up. The man with the handgun demanded his possessions. The man turned over a wallet containing an ID, $60 and a cell phone.

Oct. 26 It was reported that the administrative office for Lime Tree Apartments at 431 SE 13 Court was entered. The machine that credits tenant laundry cards was broken into and money removed.

Oct. 27 Deputies responded to a call of man with a gun demanding money from the Food Store at 555 E. Sample Rd. The man fled, dropping clothing and money.

Oct. 27 A woman reported that she awoke to the sound of a gunshot. She later found that a round had passed through her front window and into a wall. A shell casing was found in the street. Incident was reported at 540 NE 45 St.

Oct. 28 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony. He had been stopped following a traffic crash at 500 S. Dixie Hwy. The man was found in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Oct. 21 Conveyance burglary was reported in the Harbors at Riverglen on NW 46 Avenue. Victim parked her 2010 Toyota Camry in her grandfather’s driveway. While she was assisting him into the home, she left her purse inside the vehicle and the doors unlocked. 15 minutes later, she returned to discover her purse containing credit cards and her iPhone stolen.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Oct. 22 A man who had been working at Dollar Tree at 3780 N. Federal Hwy. was stopped by police for stealing a few items from the store. A man who was acting as his look-out was also stopped. The man who committed the theft was terminated from his employment at the store and both men were issued trespass warnings by police. One was later arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. The other man was arrested on an active felony warrant from another county.

Oct. 24 Two men were observed running from a home at 2325 NE 28 Court. It appeared they had atempted to break into the home. The men escaped in a pickup truck.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Oct. 12 A woman reported that her purse, containing a camera, cash, phone and gift cards, was stolen from her while she was at 3812 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Oct. 13 Someone broke into the tool room on the northwest corner of the Emerald Seas Resort at 660 NE 21 Ave. and stole a cordless drill and a hammer drill. Total loss was $375.

Oct. 14 A man reported his bicycle stolen at 310 NE 44 Court.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Oct. 8 Residential burglary was reported on SW 15 Street – Meadow Lakes. Victim advised that sometime Sunday during the day, unknown suspect(s) entered his apartment and took an HP notebook computer. Front door and all windows were locked. Rear slider has locked storm shutters on them. Victim advised that maybe someone made a copy of his spare key that he had left outside last week, but was not left outside today. A PS3 game station was left next to where the computer had been and nothing inside the apartment had been secured. Victim stated he originally thought he may have misplaced the computer but was adamant that he wanted a report completed.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Oct. 9 A woman reported that while she dropped off her daughter at Education Station Pre-School at 2458 N. Federal Hwy., someone smashed the window on her car and stole a purse with a wallet containing $70 in cash, six credit cards, a Florida Driver’s License and a makeup case.
