DEERFIELD BEACH

March 6 A woman reported her vehicle stolen from 165 SE 4 Ave. The woman said her home had been burglarized and she believes the person who stole her car may have stolen the key to her vehicle during the burglary.

March 8 It was reported that a home at 18 Little Harbor Way was burglarized. Two televisions and two laptop computers were stolen for a total loss of $3,000.

March 8 A man was arrested and charged with stealing two televisions from Target at 1200 S. Federal Hwy.

March 9 A man reported his motorcycle stolen from 632 Trace Circle.

March 9 Someone broke into a van parked at 1520 S. Powerline Rd. and stole a spare tire.

March 9 A residence at 1001 NW 45 St. was entered and two gold rings, one gold bracelet and a gold necklace were stolen. Total loss was estimated at $16,500. The owner of the property believes that a man who recently moved out used his spare key to enter the residence.

March 10 A woman reported that two men approached her at 1200 W. Hillsboro Blvd. One man knocked the woman off her bicycle and grabbed her gold chain. Both men ran away.

 

DEERFIELD District 4

Feb. 10 Auto theft was reported at 3840 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Person reporting advised that the vehicle was parked in the Aldi shopping plaza lot on Feb. 5 at 12:30 a.m., after a flat tire. When the person came back the next day, the vehicle was missing from the lot. After checking with all towing companies in the area with negative results, the person contacted BSO. Tow log was checked and the vehicle was not entered. Affidavit was completed.

Feb. 27 Residential burglary occurred in the Gates of Hillsboro at 280 NW 41 Ave. Between 9:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., an unknown suspect broke a window to the master bedroom to gain entry. Suspect targeted the master bedroom and stole a laptop computer. (Total loss: approximately $500.) The crime scene was processed.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

March 6 A man left his wallet on a counter at the U.S. Post Office at 2091 NE 36 St. When he returned to the counter, he noticed the wallet had been taken. The man then reported two purchases made on one of his cards.

March 6 The manager of a McDonalds at 4830 N. Federal Hwy. requested that a man who has been pouring fountain sodas into a cup be issued a trespass warning not to return to the restaurant.

March 1 A home at 411 NW 43 St. was broken into and a laptop computer, backpack and firearm were stolen, valued at $868.

March 1 A man reported that someone entered his home at 411 NW 41 St., ransacked it and stole $3,500 worth of electronic equipment.

March 3 A woman reported her home at 4335 NW 6 Ave. entered and a laptop computer stolen.

March 3 A man reported his car parked at 650 Lock Rd. entered and a GPS and laptop computer stolen. Value of the stolen items was estimated at $1,100.

March 3 A man reported his car stolen from 242 NE 44 St. The man believes a female friend stole the car.

March 3 A hole was cut into the top of an equipment trailer at a lawn service company at 1260 SW 9 Ave. Items stolen included two weedeaters, two chain saws, two pole saws and one leaf blower. Value of the stolen items was estimated at $4,000.

March 3 Two women were placed into custody by store security at Bealls at 1079 S. Federal Hwy. They had taken store property without paying. Each woman was issued a notice to appear in court and released.

March 3 A woman reported her Rolex watch missing from her home at 1111 NE 4 Dr. She said a realtor had been showing her home just before she noticed the watch was missing.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Feb. 11 Arrest was made at Target, 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd. On Feb. 4, suspect took a TV and headphones from Target and fled without paying for them. Witness observed suspect flee in a green Mazda and took the tag number. Tag was registered to suspect. The incident was captured on video surveillance. Suspect was identified in a photographic lineup. This date, suspect was located and arrested. Post Miranda warning, he admitted to the incident and advised the TV and headphones were sold. Suspect was charged with grand theft.

Feb. 14 Auto theft was reported at 1600 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Victim reported she parked and locked her vehicle at the North Satelitte Court House and when she returned, her vehicle was missing. Area check for vehicle was conducted with negative results.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Feb. 27 A woman reported that she parked her car at Trinity United Methodist Church Preschool at 3901 NE 22 Ave. After leaving the parking lot, she realized her purse and wallet had been stolen. She believes the purse and wallet were stolen while the car was parked in the preschool parking lot.

Feb. 27 It was reported that a vehicle was stolen from Sheehan Autoplex at 2800 N. Federal Hwy. The vehicle was used for collecting trash on the property. It is believed that an employee took the vehicle. The vehicle was returned to the location near the entrance to the dealership. Remember, if you see anything suspicious, call 911 immediately.

Feb. 22 A man reported his home at 1120 SE 12 Ave. broken into and electronic equipment valued at $4,100 stolen.

Feb. 23 A man reported his car stolen from 41 Deer Creek Rd.

Feb. 23 A man was arrested and charged with felony narcotics at 500 NW 37 St. He was first stopped for riding a bicycle without a headlight and found to be in possession of marijuana.

Feb. 23 A woman reported her car window smashed at 773 Siesta Key but nothing was stolen.

Feb. 23 A woman reported an attempted auto theft at 131 W. Hillsboro Blvd. She said the passenger window was shattered and the ignition punched out.

Feb. 24 A woman reported that a home at 4714 NW 3 St. was burglarized and jewelry valued at about $2,000 was stolen.

Feb. 24 Someone broke into a car parked at 400 SW 2 St. and stole ammunition, jewelry and clothing.

 

Deerfield–District 4

Jan. 30 Commercial burglary took place at Comfort Suites,1040 E. Newport Center Dr. Unknown suspects stole two retractable step tailgates from two Ford F-250s valued at $800 each. The scene was processed for fingerprints.

Feb. 1 Residential burglary was reported in Waterford Courtyards South, 2704 SW 15 St. Complainant reported that unknown person(s) had broken into his residence. Point of entry was by smashing out a slider window. Taken from the residence were a PS3, iPad and electronic games. The area was canvassed.

Feb. 13 A woman reported a 10 ft. bronze statue stolen from her home at 2600 NE 43 St.

Feb. 13 A woman reported two bicycles stolen from her home at 3001 NE 51 St.

Feb. 5 A woman was arrested and charged with petty theft at Publix at 3700 N. Federal Hwy. The woman stole 17 items valued at $107.87.

Feb. 13 It was reported that a women who was working at Boca Rejuvenation at 441 S. Federal Hwy. took $600 from the front desk drawer. At the time of the report, it was not known if the owner wanted to press charges.

Feb. 14 A man approached an employee at Verizon Wireless at 3656 W. Hillsboro Blvd. regarding an upgrade for his cell phone. The man then stole a display cell phone valued at $729.

Feb. 15 Subjects entered a fenced compound at 2040 NW 40 Court by cutting a chain link fence. The individuals then stole a lawn trailer containing lawn equipment. Total loss was estimated at $20,000.

Feb. 17 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony following a traffic stop. He was found in possession of Xanax.

Feb. 17 A pickup was reported stolen from a residence at 561 N. Ocean Dr.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Feb. 2 Theft was reported at Sumo Restaurant, 3354 W. Hillsboro Blvd., at 2:37 p.m. Complainant reported that between 5 – 7 a.m., unknown person(s) had smashed the front glass door to the business. Taken from the restaurant was an unknown amount of coins from the cash register. Scene was processed and the area was canvassed.

Feb. 2 Auto theft was reported at 1900 SW 43 Terr. at 10:04 p.m. Victim stated that between Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2, unknown person(s) removed a 1999 Kenworth tractor. Inside the vehicle were tools, a television and a CB radio.

Feb. 6 A man reported that someone had taken water from his home at 2765 NE 23 Ave. The man found a hose in his yard and noticed that the water bill had gone from $25 to $187.

Feb. 10 A man reported that his cell phone valued at $650 was stolen while he was at CVS at 3580 N. Federal Hwy.

Feb. 8 A man was arrested and charged with felony narcotics at 4791 N. Dixie Hwy. He was found in possession of crack cocaine.

Feb. 8 It was reported that a male employee of Century Motors of South Florida at 4701 N. Dixie Hwy. took a work vehicle and never returned.

Feb. 9 It was reported that a business at 3996 W. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into through the roof and a small safe with black signed business checks was stolen.

Feb. 9 A man was arrested and charged with stealing a bicycle from Publix at 150 S. Federal Hwy. A woman had left her unlocked bicycle in front of the store.

Feb.10 A woman reported her car stolen from a parking lot at 3840 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Feb. 10 A woman reported that a man approached her while she walked along 300 W. Hillsboro Blvd., and snatched her iPhone and duffel bag.

Feb. 10 Someone entered the B’nai B’rith building at 351 SW 3 Ave. and broke into a vending machine causing $500 in damage and stealing $100 in currency.

Feb. 10 Someone stole 4 rims from a vehicle parked at 67 NE 11 Way. The rims were valued at $6,000.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan. 30 Conveyance burglary was reported in the strip mall at 2201 W. Sample Rd. at 3:17 a.m. An unknown person smashed out the left rear door window of the victim’s 2011 white Toyota Corolla and stole her black-and-white cloth overnight bag containing clothes, make-up and a flat iron off of the rear seat. Total loss was estimated at $150.

Feb. 2 Auto theft was reported in the Pine Tree Apartments at 500 Lock Rd. at 2:42 p.m. Complainant reported that between 11 p.m. on Feb. 1 and 9 a.m. Feb. 2, unknown person(s) had stolen his 2012 Shen Scooter that was parked at this location. The area was canvassed and the vehicle was entered into FCIC/NCIC.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Feb. 2 A man was arrested and charged with breaking into a building with a car — felony criminal mischief — and wearing a mask on the property of others. The man used a car to smash into Custom Rod and Reel at 1835 NE 25 St. The man stole between 12 and 14 reels. All the reels except two were later recovered.

Feb. 3 A woman reported that a home she owns but no longer lives in at 2830 NE 48 St. was entered and beer and a computer were stolen.

Feb. 1 A man reported that his home at 2704 SW 15 St. was broken into and a PS3, i-Pad and electronic games were stolen.

Feb. 1 A woman reported that her home at 612 Lake Pointe Lane was broken into and an i-Pad and jewelry were stolen.

Feb. 2 A Kenworth trailer was reported stolen from 1900 SW 43 Terr. The trailer contained tools, a television and CB radio.

Feb. 2 The Sumo Restaurant, 3354 W. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into and coins taken from the cash register.

Feb. 2 A man reported his motor scooter stolen from 500 Lock Rd.

Feb. 3 A man reported that he left his home at 1001 NW 45 Ave. When he returned, he noticed his laptop computer missing. The man believes his father may have sold it.

Feb. 3 A woman reported that her former boyfriend stole her cell phone from her home at 331 N.E. 48 St., Apt. 102.

Feb. 3 A woman reported that a man entered her home but nothing was stolen.

 

DEERFIELD–District 4

Jan. 27 Commercial burglary was reported at Lenny’s Sub Shop,1101 S. Powerline Rd. After responding to an alarm at 3:03 a.m., investigation revealed that unknown subjects entered the business via rear entrance and took the safe. Loss was approximately $1,500.

Jan. 28 Residential burglary took place at the Hammocks at Riverglen, 4000 Block, on NW 1 Place. At 4:35 p.m., unknown subjects smashed out rear slider door glass, entered house, ransacked rooms and took computers, iPod, jewelry and checkbooks. Subjects left via front door.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Jan. 25 A woman reported that her vehicle was burglarized while it was parked at T.J. Maxx at 3722 N. Federal Hwy. and that three pair of sunglasses, one pair of reading glasses and three new pair of pants were stolen.

Jan. 28 A woman reported that her husband took their daughter to the Lighthouse Point Tennis Center at 2700 NE 34 St. While the car was parked there, it was broken into and the woman’s purse with 13 credit cards, a Florida driver’s license, house keys and a wallet were stolen.

Jan. 31 A delayed auto theft was reported at Phil Smith Kia/Audi at 4230 N. Federal Hwy. A woman purchased a vehicle and gave the dealership $2,000 as a down payment and financed the remaining amount of $19,710. Fifth Third Bank notified the dealer that the check was written on a closed account. All efforts to contact the woman were unsuccessful. The vehicle is considered stolen. Jan. 25 A woman was arrested and charged with grand theft. She was an employee of Home Depot at 60 SW 12 Ave. and caught by loss prevention for fraudulent transactions. The theft involved $2,000.

Jan. 26 It was reported that a car parked at 4100 NW 6 St. was broken into and a purse stolen.

Jan. 26 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 100 W. Hillsboro Blvd. The man was stopped on a suspicion and found to be in possession of crack cocaine.

Jan. 26 A man reported an attempted break-in at his home at 1143 SE 2 Ave.

Jan. 26 Video surveillance showed a man stealing an unlocked bicycle from the front entrance of Target at 1200 S. Federal Hwy.

Jan. 27 Lenny’s Sub Shop at 1101 S. Powerline Rd. was entered and a safe containing $1,500 was stolen.

Jan. 27 A woman arrived at her home at 4348 NW 5 Ave. and found the rear sliding glass door open. She said the person who entered her home took a television, a laptop computer, a cell phone and $1,000 in cash from her purse.

Jan. 27 A man reported his home at 1061 SW 11 Court entered and drawers ransacked. It is unknown if anything was stolen. A man was observed knocking on the door of the home.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan. 16 Commercial burglary occurred at Comfort Suites,1050 E. Newport Center Dr. Between 6:30 p.m.on Jan. 15 and 6:15 a.m. on Jan. 16, an air compressor with two tanks and a Honda motor were taken from the bed of a company 2000 GMC 3500 truck. The item was tied down with a rope padlock. The rear gate was taken off and the padlock was cut.

Jan. 19 Grand theft arrest was made at TJ Maxx, 3812 W. Hillsboro Blvd. All three arrestees were involved in a scheme to remove clothing from the store. All three were placed into custody, transported to the office for interviews and taken to jail.

Jan. 22 Residential burglary was reported at The Waterways, 1200 Block, SW 48th Terr. at 2:03 a.m.Victim returned home from work and found her rear sliding glass door open. Upon checking her residence, she found her iPad missing from her bedroom. No other items were disturbed. Loss was $479; there were no suspects or witnesses.

Jan. 22 A man was arrested and charged with petty larceny after stealing a salad and matches from Publix at 3700 N. Federal Hwy.

Jan. 24 A fight between two women was reported at 2388 NE 30 Court.

Jan. 24 A woman was detained after stealing cosmetics valued at $145 from Publix at 3700 N. Federal Hwy. The manager of the Publix did not press charges.

Jan. 15 A woman reported that her home at 1003 SE 12 Ave. was broken into. Nothing was stolen but there was evidence of a burglary.

Jan. 15 A man was arrested and charged with felony narcotics at 1000 S. Dixie Hwy. Following a traffic stop, the man was found to be in possession of cocaine.

Jan. 15 A man was arrested and charged with stealing nine mobile home stabilizers. He entered a fenced complex at 285 NE 48 St. The man sold the units to Capitol Scrap. Suspect was identified on a video and found in the Main Jail on an unrelated.

Jan. 15 A woman reported a residential burglary at 930 NE 50 St. Two bottles of vodka and a radio were stolen.

Jan. 16 A man was arrested and charged with burglary conveyance at 118 SE 14 St. The man stole change from a vehicle.

Jan. 16 A woman left her apartment at 743 Siesta Key #1212. When she returned, she noticed the residence had been burglarized. She reported two televisions, two laptops and other electronic equipment stolen as well as jewelry and a drill.

Jan. 16 U.S. Wrecking and Land Clearing Inc. reported an air compressor stolen from1050 E. Newport Center Dr.

Jan. 17 A man reported his car parked at 666 Siesta Key Circle entered. Three credit cards, a Florida driver’s license, two checks, sneakers and wallet were stolen.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan. 7 Armed robbery occurred at Michael’s, at 3701 W. Hillsboro Blvd/ Black male subject, approximately 5’7″ to 5’9″ and 160 lbs., thin build, dressed in white long- sleeved sweater, white pants, white tennis shoes, and a white baseball cap, entered Michael’s Arts and Crafts at approximately 11:30 a.m. Subject selected a spool of yarn from the shelf, brought it to the cashier. As the cashier was placing the yarn in the bag, the subject produced a black snub-nosed revolver, vaulted the counter, and demanded that the cashier open the cash register. Victim opened the cash register, and the subject removed approximately $398 in cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Robbery unit was on scene. Latent fingerprints were lifted from the counter. Surveillance video was obtained by the Robbery Unit.

Jan. 8 Residential burglary was reported in Deer Creek on Deer Creek Road at 1:32 a.m. Subjects smashed the front glass, entered the residence and searched through drawers and jewelry boxes. Unknown loss at this time.

 

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Jan. 3 The manager of a Publix at 3700 N. Federal Hwy. detained a man for stealing a sandwich. The manager declined prosecution and the man was released.

Jan. 9 A man reported hurricane shelters stolen from his home at 2150 NE 48 Court. He was able to recover many of the shutters. y.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Jan. 4 A woman reported that as she was placing groceries into her car in the parking lot of Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Boulevard, a man snatched her gold chain from her neck and purse from her shoulder. The man fled in a car.

Jan. 4 A man reported that his home at 381 SE 15 Ave. was broken into and clothing, electronics and jewelry were taken.

Jan. 4 A man reported a residential burglary at 1180 NW 49 Court. The burglary took place through an open rear window.

Jan. 6 A woman reported that her car parked at 1829 W. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into and a bag containing a driver’s license, debit card and Social Security card were stolen.

Jan. 6 A home at 957 SW 15 St. was broken into. Three men live at the home. One man reported that $200, an iPod and a laptop computer were stolen from him. Another man reported that $310 was stolen from him. A third man reported that his drawers were rifled through but nothing was stolen.

Jan. 6 A man was arrested and charged with a narcotics felony at 286 SW 1 Terr. He was found to be in possession of cocaine.

 

DEERFIELD – District 4

Dec. 27 Grand theft was reported on Jefferson Drive in Deer Creek. Victim advised that unknown suspect(s) removed her iPad from her residence while a technician was installing cable within her residence. She stated that the iPad was on the table next to her TV, where the work was being done. She discovered that it was missing when she returned home to inspect the work. Loss: $900. Tracking was attempted but device was turned off.

Dec. 30 Burglary to a business took place at Papa John’s at 3869 W. Hillsboro Blvd. General Manager came in at approximately 8:20 a.m. to open up the store and discovered a burglary to the business. Unknown suspect pried open the rear door and targeted the safe, which was cut into with an unknown type tool. Total loss: $1,619 was reported stolen. Crime scene was processed, with latent fingerprints lifted and photos taken. Video was available but needed to be downloaded.

Jan. 2 A woman reported that her car was broken into at 3128 N. Federal Hwy. The driver’s side window was removed. A bottle of perfume, two gift cards and $10 in loose change was stolen. A man working construction nearby said he saw a man reach into the car and then flee.

Jan.2 A woman reported that a man entered her office in the staff area of the First International Title store at 2034 NE 36 St. The woman said the man was holding her purse and had taken a leather checkbook and two gift cards.
