DEERFIELD BEACH

Feb. 5 A man and a woman stole a Kurio table valued at $99.99 from Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Feb. 6 An individual was arrested and charged with retail theft. The person stole food from CVS at 1827 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Feb. 6 Two men were observed entering a home through a window at 356 NW 3 St. The men fled the scene.

Feb. 6 A man stole an Xbox One from Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Bvd. The man was seen on video surveillance.

Feb. 6 A woman left her wallet on a bar at 2096 NE 2 St. Someone entered the wallet and stole her Florida driver’s license and a credit card.

Feb. 6 Someone entered a home at 4326 NW 6 Ave. and stole a flat-screen television from the living room.

Feb. 8 Someone entered a home at 1925 NE 3 St. and stole a Mac Book Pro valued at $2,000 and a cup with $100 in cash.

DEERFIELD — District 4

Feb. 5 Burglary to a business was reported at Enterprise Commerce Center, 1701 Green Rd. The subject(s) pried open the rear door to the empty warehouse, cut through the drywall into Cell Runners. It cannot be determined if anything was taken at this time.

Feb. 5 Criminal mischief occurred at Pine Tree Apartments, 1741 NW 2 S t . The victim advised BSO that between 12:01 and 9:15 a.m., unknown suspect(s) broke his bedroom window by unknown means. Entry into the residence was not made nor was anything taken or disturbed inside. The victim advised BSO that he has not had any problems with anyone and did not see any suspicious persons in the area.

Feb. 5 Suspicious activity was noted in Deer Run, 100 S. Powerline Rd.

Feb. 6 Theft was reported at a CVS at 1827 W. Hillsboro Blvd.The suspect stole $23.04 in food items from the CVS store. Subject was arrested and transported to jail.

Feb. 6 Second-degree petit theft was reported at Deerfield Mall, 3852 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Feb. 7 Theft took place at Pine Tree Apartments, 1761 W. Hillsboro Blvd. The subject(s) fraudulently got the elderly victim to withdraw $9,000.00 from her Sun Trust account.

Feb. 7 Fraud occurred at Starlight Cove, 695 NW 38. Ave. The victim called to reference someone who attempted to open a Discover card in her name twice in the past three months.

Feb. 7 Trespass warning was reported at Deer Creek, 650 Jefferson Dr.

Feb. 9 Trespass warning was reported at Deerfield Mall, 3740 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

LHP

Feb. 4 Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in front of a residence at 4430 NE 28 Ave. and stole five drink tokens, a Cardinal Gibbons Cup and $20 in coins from the center console. Police said the loss was $50.

Feb. 4 Someone entered a 2012 Toyota Highlander parked in a driveway in front of a residence at 4440 NE 28 Ave. Police said it didn’t appear anything was taken from the vehicle.

Feb. 6 A man entered a bank at 3600 N. Federal Hwy. and handed the teller a note demanding $5,000 in cash with “no alarm, no movements or I will take hostages.” The teller handed the man money from the counter and he fled the bank with an estimated $7,100.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Jan. 29 A car at 124 SE 3 Court was broken into and $30 worth of loose change was stolen.

Jan. 29 A tailgate was stolen from a truck parked at 1200 SW 11 Way.

Jan. 30 A home at 236 NE 42 Court was broken into and ransacked. Two laptop computers and one tablet were stolen.

Jan. 31 A man reported that someone attempted to break into his home at 709 NW 1 Way.

Jan.31 A stand-alone apartment at 311 NE 43 St. was entered and a laptop and $500 were stolen. A window in the main house was also broken, but it does not appear that entry was made into the house.

Feb. 1 A man walked into Walgreens Liquor Store at 1325 S. Military Tr. and stole a bottle of liquor.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Jan. 15 A store manager observed a man take two beverages valued at $7 and drink them while he was in a store at 3580 N. Federal Hwy. The subject left the store without paying for them.

Jan. 15 Victim’s ex-boyfriend entered her residence at 4340 NE 28 St. and took a laptop, a laptop bag and a purse. Loss was estimated at $900.

Jan. 16 Victim returned home to residence located at 2110 NE 33 St. and discovered a rear sliding glass door was off the track. It was unknown if anything was taken from the residence.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Jan. 17 A woman reported her purse stolen. The incident was reported at 501 E. Sample Rd. and the woman believes a co-worker may have stolen her purse.

Jan. 18 A man stole a grill from an apartment at 1320 SE 3 St. The man was stopped as he tried to drag the grill across the street. He was issued a notice to appear in court for petit theft.

Jan. 18 A man was arrested and charged with loitering or prowling at 3810 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Cars were reported broken into in the area where he was seen prowling.

Jan. 19 A vehicle parked at 67 NE 11 Way was entered and a taser stolen.

Jan. 19 A woman reported that her purse was stolen from her bag while she shopped at T.J. Maxx at 3800 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan. 12 Incident of Resisting Arrest was reported at 200 N. Military Tr. Subject obstructed a traffic crash investigation and was arrested for obstruction without violence.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Jan. 4 A loss prevention officer observed a male subject select beer at a store 3208 N. Federal Hwy. and walk out without paying for it. The subject was stopped outside with 12, 24-beer cases of Budweiser beer and 3, 24-beer cases of Miller Light. He was also discovered with a joint. The merchandise was valued at $269.85. Jan. 8 Police initiated a traffic stop for violation of probation and narcotics at 3722 N. Federal Hwy. Police discovered five ladies purses and two wallets in the vehicle valued at $1,060.

Jan. 11 Someone stole 8 rims and 8 tires off of two Mercedes Benz vehicles at 2333 NE 28 Court. Loss was $12,000.

Jan. 11 Someone put an icepick through all four tires of a 1990 Honda Civic at 2500 NE 36 St. The victim believes it was over a $400 argument.

Jan. 16 A home at 4911 was entered through the back sliding glass door and ransacked. Electronics and jewelry were stolen.

Jan. 16 It was reported that four tires and rims were stolen from a truck parked at 400 Federal Hwy.

Jan.17 It was reported that an iPhone 5 left on a table at The Cove Restaurant at 1755 SE 3 Court was stolen.

Jan.17 A man reported that his air conditioner was stolen from his home at 260 SW 32 Ave.

Jan. 17 A woman reported her cellphone stolen from a location at 4700 NW 3 Ave.

Jan. 17 A man reported that his laptop, speakers and other items were stolen from his home at 812 SE 14 Court.

Jan. 18 A man reported that his bicycle valued at $700 was stolen from Bru’s Room at 123 NE 20 Ave.

DEERFIELD — District 4

Jan. 11 Criminal mischief was reported in Deer Creek, at 2271 Deer Creek Country Club Blvd.

Victim advised BSO that a female dressed as a nurse was pounding on her front door for 1 minute. When she did not answer, she heard the window next to the front door shatter. Victim then went outside and saw female fleeing in a large black vehicle. Victim stated that she did not know the suspect.

Jan. 11 Burglary residence took place at Deer Creek, 627 N. Lake Point N. Ln. Victim advised BSO that between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the report date, while he was away from home, unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry to his residence by smashing a small window next to the front door. Suspect(s) were unable to gain entry.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Jan. 2 Police and fire units responded to a fire at a residence located at 2121 NE 31 St. They found the front porch fully engulfed in flames. The fire was believed to start at a junction box.

Jan. 3 The victim returned home to her residence located at 2121 NE 36 St. to find a table smashed to pieces in the backyard. The resident found broken pieces in the yard and witnesses saw a woman walking from the residence with a table leg in her hand. It is unknown if she was involved.

Jan. 4 The victim reported that someone keyed his vehicle while it was parked in front of the residence located at 3800 NE 21 Ave. Damage was estimated at $200.

Jan. 9 A man was observed stealing headphones and jambox speakers from Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Jan.9 A woman reported her car parked at 411 S. Federal Hwy. broken into and a purse stolen.

Jan. 10 A man reported that his cellphone was stolen from a bartop at 2079 NE 2 St. He said one man stole the cellphone and another man was an accomplice.

Jan. 10 A car parked at 1754 E. Hillsboro Blvd. was broken into and a purse, wallet, iPhone and $100 was stolen.

Jan. 10 A home at 5031 NE 6 Ave. was broken into and multiple items stolen.

Jan. 10 A woman reported her car at 1011 S. Powerline Rd. broken into and a bag stolen.

Jan.12 A woman reported her home at 545 Trace Circle broken into and a pet parrot stolen.

Jan. 13 A man reported two men in his backyard at 1413 S. Deerfield Ave. The men attempted to steal a digital camera and jewelry, but left those items behind as they fled.

Jan. 13 A man reported his work truck and chipper trailer stolen from 4250 N. Powerline Rd.

Jan. 14 A woman reported that her former boyfriend stole her cellphone and hit her in the face and then fled. The incident was reported at 1107 SW 15 St.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan. 18 Accidental homicide was reported at 610 Jefferson Dr. Male shot himself accidentally while cleaning his gun, according to a witness. Homicide unit has been working the scene.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Dec. 31 Thieves attempted to break into three businesses at 2430 N. Federal Hwy. in the early morning hours. They removed the locking mechanism to one, and stole a laptop computer and $65 in cash. No entry was made to the other businesses.

Jan. 1 The victim said he lent a friend an iPhone to make a call and the friend did not return it to him at the residence located at 1871 NE 27 St. The friend denied taking the phone and the loss was $99.

Jan. 1 A lighting fixture from a motion sensor outside a residence at 2091 NE 27 St. was ripped off, causing $200 damage.

Jan. 2 A woman reported her car stolen from 5370 NE 5 Terr. Three men were in the car and they were seen escaping after driving for a time.

Jan. 2 A woman reported her car keyed at 1332 NW 3 St.

Jan. 2 A woman reported her rented U Haul van stolen from 3439 SW 11 St.

Jan. 3 A man reported his car entered at 273 NE 46 St. and the glove compartment rummaged.

Jan. 3 It was reported that a work van parked at 4200 NE 1 Terr. was broken into, and tools and copper stolen.

Jan. 4 The office manager at Urology Medical Specialists at 601 E. Sample Rd. reported that when she arrived at work, she discovered $480 missing from the office cabinet.

Jan. 6 A car parked at 120 NW 42 Court was entered and a wallet with $6, a prescription, and 50 CDs was stolen.

Jan. 6 A car parked at 230 W. Sample Rd. was broken into and a purse with $250, credit cards, a Florida driver’s license and a Brazilian passport was stolen.

Jan. 7 A car parked at 4040 NE 6 Ave. was entered and a DVD player stolen.

Jan. 7 A home at 168 SW 2 Court was broken into and a laptop computer and jewelry stolen.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan. 10 Drugs/narcotics were reported at 100 N. Powerline Rd. BSO witnessed a suspicious vehicle blocking two lanes of traffic at the intersection of N. Powerline Road and W. Hillsboro Boulevard. The vehicle had its headlights off and an expired tag. The occupant of the vehicle was in possession of approximately 32 grams of marijuana.

Jan. 10. Conveyance burglary took place at the Sports Mall,1011 S. Powerline Rd. Victim stated that between 5:21 and 5:25 p.m.on the report date, an unknown subject broke the passenger-side rear window of her 2010 Hyundai Accent with FL tag K891XS and stole her black bag out of the back seat.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Dec. 17 A man reported he lost his wallet while riding his bike to 3700 N. Federal Hwy. The victim said he retraced his steps and could not find the wallet. He cancelled his credit cards. (The wallet also contained his driver’s license, concealed weapons permit and credit cards.) Loss was estimated at $79.

Dec. 17 An employee reportedly saw a woman steal a T-Shirt from a store located at 2430 N. Federal Hwy. Loss was estimated at $62.

Dec. 17 A store owner of a bakery at 5022 N. Federal Hwy. received a call from someone who identified themselves as an FPL employee. The caller told the man he needed to make two $500 payments to keep his power on. The victim paid $1,000 by giving the caller the serial numbers for a Green Dot prepaid card, and then grew suspicious. He contacted FPL and they told him it was a scam.

Dec. 29 A woman reported being the victim of an auto theft. She said her motorcycle was stolen. Report was made at 651 NW 42 Court.

Dec. 29 An attempt was made to break into Radio Shack at 665 S. Federal Hwy. via the rear door.

Dec. 30 Dr. Philgoods at 3774 NE 3 Ave. was broken into through the front door. A television and the cash register were stolen.

Dec. 30 It was reported that a window on a home at 5291 NE 9 Terr. was broken. Nothing was stolen from the vacant home.

Dec. 30 The front-door window of Vida Nova Church at 1307 S. Federal Hwy. was broken. A laptop was stolen from the music room.

Dec 31 A former employee of a business was reported for stealing $1,800 in business funds. She has since moved to California. Incident was reported at 1140 SW 34 Ave.

Dec. 31 A woman reported her home at 131 Lock Rd. broken into and her bedroom drawers rummaged. Nothing was stolen.

Jan. 1. A woman was observed stealing 10 shirts from Family Dollar Store at 4811 N.Dixie Highway. She fled in a car.

Jan.1 A man was observed stealing an amp from the West Marine Store at 110 N. Federal Hwy. The man escaped in a car.

Jan.1 A business at 875 NE 48 St.was broken into and $300 in cash was stolen.

Jan. 3 A man was observed stealing a jacket and pants from Bealls at 1079 S. Federal Hwy. He went into a changing room with the clothing and put the items on. He then left the store without paying for the clothing.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Jan 3. Auto theft was reported at Powerline Industrial Park, 3439 SW 11 St. A rented white U-Haul E250 van with keys was reported taken from outside of the business between 01/01/2014 in the p.m. and 01/02/2014 in the a.m.

Jan. 4 Battery was reported at Deerfield Mall, 3984 W. Hillsboro Blvd. BSO responded to Paragon Theaters to a possible battery with multiple parties involved and conflicting stories.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Dec. 13 A man reported that someone attempted to empty a hot tub in his backyard by opening a valve at his home at 3232 NE 31 Ave.

Dec. 16 A woman reported that someone entered her yard and cut wires to two sets of Christmas lights on the back porch of a residence at 2650 NE 49 St. The damage was $100.

Dec. 16 A woman reported that she received a bill from a clothing company at 4440 NE 30 Terr. for merchandise she did not purchase. The statement showed a purchase totaling $973.23 made in the Miami area. While investigating the charge, she found another fraudulent purchase for the amount of $606. The woman said she was not sure how the credit card information was obtained.

Dec. 19 A lock was cut to a building at 610 SE 2 Ave. The meter room was entered and a digital electronic meter was stolen

Dec.19 A woman reported that someone stole $2,000 worth of costume jewelry from the apartment of her deceased mother. Report was made at 2403 W.Hillsboro Blvd.

Dec. 19 A vehicle was entered at 71 SE 7 Ave. The steering column was broken and a power converter, and cellphone were stolen.

Dec. 19 Three women entered Target at 1200 S. Federal Hwy. and stole electronic equipment.

Dec. 19 A woman reported her home at 299 NE 46 St. entered and Christmas gifts scattered and a television stolen.

Dec. 20 A home at 810 NE 51 St. was entered and electronic equipment and jewelry taken. Most of the property was recovered in a neighbor’s yard.

Dec. 20 Two women were observed on video surveillance stealing nine tablets from Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Dec. 12 A man reported a burglary at his home at 2359 Vintage Dr. The man reported a smashed window at his home and evidence that someone tried to break into the home.

Dec. 13 A woman reported that someone entered her yard, broke a child fence encircling her pool. The fence was valued at $1,000. Incident was reported at 3201 NE 31 Ave.

Dec. 12 An attempt was made to break into Gentle Dental at 2265C W. Hillsboro Blvd. with a blow torch.

Dec.12 A home at 4430 NE 3 Ave. was broken into and electronic equipment, a watch and cash were stolen. Total loss was estimated at $2,650.

Dec. 12 It was reported that someone walked out of Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd. with a flat-screen television.

Dec. 12 A woman reported that a woman stole Christmas decorations from her home at 2036 SW17 Circle.

Dec. 13 A vehicle parked at 883 Siesta Key Dr. was broken into and a satchel with personal papers and a tool box were stolen.

DEERFIELD District 4

Dec. 20 Fraud was reported at Pine Tree apartments, 1761 W. Hillsboro Blvd. A customer presented a fake FL driver’s license to cash a forged payroll check at SunTrust. The customer suddenly became wary and fled without the check and driver’s license.

Dec. 20 Theft – Retail/ shoplifting was reported at Super Target, 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd.Video surveillance shows two females taking tablets and walking out of the store, passing all points of sale without paying.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Dec. 11 A man reported that an unlocked clubhouse at Lighthouse Colony, 2800 NE 30 Ave., was entered and a flat-screen television was stolen.

Dec. 13 A man reported that a lion statue in his yard at 3232 NE 31 Ave. was broken and someone rummaged through a boat parked at his home.

Dec. 15 The loss prevention officer at Publix at 3700 N. Federal Hwy. reported that a man took at bottle of syrup off a shelf and tried to redeem it for a gift card. The man was issued a trespass warning and told not to return.

Dec. 5 A man reported his car stolen from 311 NW 42 Court.

Dec. 5 A vehicle was reported stolen from 4364 NW 9 Ave.

Dec. 5 An individual reported losing two rings for a total loss of $12,500 at 50 S. Ocean Dr.

Dec. 5 Three containers were broken into at Southeast Power Corp. at 3951 N. Powerline Rd. Various tools were stolen. Estimated value of the tools stolen was $6,000.

Dec.10 A home health aide was reported for having stolen two checks from 500 NW 1 Way.

DEERFIELD — District 4

Dec. 11 Retail/Shoplifting was reported at Super Target, 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd., at approximately 2:20 a.m., BSO units responded. The subjects targeted the “Beats” type headphones, PS4s, Ipads and TVs. Store video also showed a white SUV or truck was used in the crime. LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Dec. 5 A woman reported that someone spray painted her car with “I know where u live” on the passenger side of the car parked at North Federal Highway.

Dec. 10 Video surveillance showed three men Dec. 10. at Hott Leggz, 3128 N. Federal Hwy. stealing 10 flat-screen televisions. Two televisions were damaged and one was found outside. Also $500 was stolen from the cash register. Total loss: about $8,000.
