DEERFIELD BEACH

Oct. 25 A man was observed smashing the window to a residence at 960 NW 45 St. and then fleeing.

Oct. 25 A man reported that the passenger window on his truck parked in the parking lot of Home Depot at 60 SW 12 Ave. was smashed. Nothing was stolen, but the cost of the damage was estimated at $175.

Oct. 25 It was reported that two exhaust fans were stolen from Deerfield Country Club at 50 Fairway Dr. Value of the fans was estimated at $1,000.

Oct. 25 A man entered Home Depot at 60 SW 12 Ave. and attempted to steal two lithium 18V batteries valued at $99 each.

Oct. 25 A woman reported that another woman attacked her and threatened her at 3735 NE 4 St.

Oct. 25 A man reported that his cousin and neighbor attacked him at 519 NE 1 Ave. The man suffered a laceration under his right eye.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Oct. 27 Conveyance burglary took place at the Sports Mall, 1101 S. Powerline Rd. Between 8 and 10 a.m., unknown persons broke into the victim’s 2000 Chevy van by breaking the driver’s window and took a purse, which contained ID, credit cards and two checks. The scene was processed with negative results.

Oct. 28 Auto theft attempt was reported at Starlight Cove, 3815 NW 7 Pl.Victim was walking his dog and stumbled upon a suspect attempting to steal a Ford explorer. The suspect fled the area.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Oct. 20 A man was observed stealing items from Publix at 2450 N. Federal Hwy. He was issued a trespass warning.

Oct. 23 A man reported his safe and jewelry missing from his home at 2880 NE 35 St. The safe contained $1,000 in cash and documents.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Oct. 18 A woman reported that while she was walking her dog, a car drove up to her and the occupant fired paintballs at her. Incident was reported at 927 Siesta Key.

Oct.18 A man was arrested and charged with burglary of a dwelling. He attempted to break into a home at 3270 SW 3 St.

Oct. 18 It was reported that there was a break-in at Zager Plumbing and Solar at 149 SE 4 St. Two work vans were broken into and tools were stolen.

Oct. 18 Two mobile homes were broken into and rummaged. Incident was reported at 4556 NE 8 Ave.

Oct. 18 A woman reported that while she was paying for gas at 7/11 at 3580 W. Hillsboro Blvd., her car was broken into and her purse stolen.

Oct. 18 A woman reported that her home at 4394 NW 9 Ave was broken into and an Xbox 360 and $300 stolen.

Oct. 18 A man reported his license plate was stolen from his car parked at 224 SW 5 St.

Oct. 19 A woman reported her aluminum trailer stolen from her home at 900 Crystal Lake Dr.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Oct. 17 Burglary conveyance was reported at Quiet Waters, 401 S. Powerline Rd. On the report date between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., three vehicles were broken into. All three had a window smashed. Extensive electronics and personal belongings were taken from each vehicle. This occurred in the northwest corner of Quiet Waters Park in the parking lot where the boat ramp is located. There are no security cameras in the area. Officer was able to recover a latent print from the door handle of each vehicle.

Oct. 17 Retail theft /shoplifting was reported at the Super Target, 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Suspect was observed multiple times taking the selected Target merchandise and concealing it and exiting the store passing all points of sale without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Value of the merchandise was $90.37

Oct. 18 A man reported that he believes his former wife stole a glass statue from his home at 3416 NE 31 Ave. His former wife was visiting him.

Oct. 19 A man reported that jewelry and belts were stolen from his room at 1801 NE 26 Ave.

Oct. 22 A woman was arrested, charged with DUI, and given four uniform traffic citations at 5100 N. Federal Hwy.

Oct. 15 A man reported that someone broke into his work truck at Pinnacle Plumbing at 1056 SW 1 St. and stole a Dewalt screw gun, Dewalt Sawzall and a hammer drill.

Oct. 15 The window of a truck parked at Ims Landscaping at 77 NE 5 St. was broken into and keys were stolen from the glove box.

Oct.15 A man reported that his home at 1008 SE 14 Ave. was entered and $2,300 worth of electronic equipment was stolen.

Oct.16 A man reported that a person visiting his home at 2246 Discovery Circle stole various items valued at about $400.

Oct. 16 A woman reported that her son stole her cell phone by grabbing it from her. Incident was reported at 1100 SE 4 Ave.

Oct.16 A woman reported that her home at 5100 NE 7 Terr. was broken into and items moved about.

Oct. 17 Three vehicles were broken into, and electronics and personal items stolen from each vehicle. Incident was reported at 401 S. Powerline Rd.

Oct. 17 A man walked onto a property at 5097 N. Dixie Hwy. and stole a gas blower.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Oct. 16 Elderly abuse/neglect was reported at Deer Creek, 2403 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Oct. 17 Lost property occurred in Deer Run, 3200 W. Hillsboro Blvd.Complainant reported that his wallet, which contained all of his personal identification and credit cards, fell out of his right front pocket of his shorts.

Oct. 11 A woman reported that her boyfriend stole her Hyundai Sonata from 2141 NE 1 St., #7. The boyfriend told her that he had committed a bank robbery.

Oct. 2 A woman reported that someone smashed the driver’s side door window on her car parked at 351 SW 3 Ave.

Oct. 2 A woman reported that while she was at LA Fitness at 1000 W. Hillsboro Blvd., someone entered her locker and stole her iPad.

Oct. 3 It was reported that someone broke into a truck at the Shell station at 1011 S. Powerline Rd. and stole 170 cartons of cigarettes. Loss was estimated at $8,500.

Oct. 6 Someone smashed the driver’s side window of a car parked at SE 21 Ave. (the Main Beach Parking Lot) and stole a pocketbook with two wallets, credit cards, five Social Security cards, a driver’s license, $2,000 in cash and white gold earrings.

Oct. 6 A car parked at 232 NE 47 St. was broken into and a purse was stolen.

Oct. 8 A woman reported her wallet stolen from her purse at 4008 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Oct. 9 A home at 1210 SW 48 Terr. was broken into and a television and two watches were stolen.

DEERFIELD — District 4

Oct. 8 Retail theft, shoplifting was reported at the Super Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd. An unknown female walked out with a portable speaker from Target valued at $299.99.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Oct. 1 Two men who were former employees at C & K Auto Imports at 4800 N. Federal Hwy. were given trespass warnings and told never to return. They were terminated for theft.

Oct. 1 It was reported that a woman made threatening statements while she was visiting Holy Cross Medical Group Lighthouse Orthopedics at 1821 NE 25 St.

Oct. 4 A woman was stopped by an officer while driving. She was issued a citation for driving with an expired tag and driving with a suspended license. Incident was reported at 2401 NE 48 St.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Sept. 29 A person entered the trailer of a truck parked at Publix, 4250 N. Powerline Rd., and stole a box of olives valued at $40.

Sept. 29 Property was found at 240 Markham K. A purse was found on the ground.

Sept. 29 A woman reported a residential burglary at 1204 S.Military Tr. She reported that jewelry was stolen from her room. It is believed that cleaning personnel may have been involved.

Sept. 29 Two people skipped out on paying for a meal at Bru’s Room, 1900 E. Hillsboro Blvd. The bill was $329. The individuals left in a car that was later stopped by police. The car was found to be stolen.

Sept. 30 The owner of a business at 4870 N. Powerline Rd. found a window broken and $1,500 in cash stolen from a filing cabinet.

Sept. 30 A home at 381 SW 14 St. was broken into, and a stove and air conditioning unit were stolen. Loss was estimated at $3,250.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Oct. 6 Drugs/narcotics offenses were reported at Quiet Waters, 3700 SW 10 St. While attending to a traffic crash investigation, BSO deputy ran witness via Teletype and discovered that he had a warrant for Driving With License Suspended (DWLS). While inventorying the subject’s vehicle, BSO deputy discovered (1.5) Ambien pills in a clear plastic container on the floor of the driver side of the vehicle. Subject advised that the Ambien was his and that he did not have a prescription. The subject was charged w/ Possession of Controlled Substance w/o Prescription and active capias (court order) for DWLS.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Sept. 27 A woman was arrested and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and breach of peace at 4500 N. Federal Hwy. She was involved in a loud argument with a woman. When a law enforcement officer arrived, the woman pushed and slapped the officer.

Sept. 28 A man who owns C & K Auto Imports South, Inc. at 4800 N. Federal Hwy. reported that an employee stole cargo covers.

DEERFIELD BEACH

Sept. 19 A man left his bicycle outside of Circle K at 4791 N. Dixie Hwy. He went inside the store and upon leaving, found that his bicycle had been stolen.

Sept. 20 It was reported that a dump truck owned by AABCO Roofing was vandalized. The windshield was broken and the fenders and headlights were smashed. Damage was estimated at $2,500. Incident was reported at 271 NW 1 St.

Sept. 20 A bag containing car keys, a cell phone and reading glasses was stolen from the beach at 200 SE 21 Ave. Loss was estimated at $1,000.

Sept. 21 A bicycle was reported stolen from in front of a store at 3701 NW 9 Ave.

Sept. 21 A man was observed stealing packages of meat from Publix at 150 S. Federal Hwy.

Sept. 22 A person was observed stealing $20 worth of conditioner from the Dollar Store at 4811 N. Dixie Hwy.

Sept. 22 A group of people visiting the beach at 234 N. Ocean Dr. reported a backpack stolen. The backpack contained two cell phones, a wallet, credit cards and keys.

Sept. 23 It was reported that a man broke into seven trucks at Closet Factory at 1650 S. Powerline Rd. and stole $18,000 worth of tools and caused $2,000 worth of damage.

Sept. 23 A purse was stolen from a car parked at 100 S. Military Trail.

DEERFIELD — District 4

Sept. 16 Conveyance burglary was reported at The Waterways, 4365 SW 10 Place. Between 09/15/13 at 7 p.m. and 09/16/13 at 8 a.m. Victim reported he left two bottles of medication in his roommate’s vehicle parked in front of the apartment complex. The victim thinks the doors were left unlocked and unknown persons reached in and took his medication. Estimated loss: $20. The vehicle was wet. There was no forced entry.

Sept. 17 Auto theft was reported at Pine Tree apartments, 101 Lock Rd. Unknown persons entered the victim’s unlocked 1996 Honda Accord and tampered with the ignition with negative results. The incident occurred at Apt. 2.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Sept. 18 A man reported that more than $100,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from his home at NE 27 St. The man believes his former housekeeper stole the jewelry.

Sept. 19 A man was issued a trespass warning and asked not to return to CVS Pharmacy at 3580 N. Federal Hwy. The man was panhandling in front of the store.

Sept. 12 A tractor trailer truck was reported stolen from 4250 N. Powerline Rd.

Sept. 13 A woman reported her portable gasoline generator stolen from her garage at 1212 SW 48 Terr.

Sept. 13 A fight broke out between two separate families at 288 SW 5 Court. One victim was hit in the face with a small brick by an unknown suspect.

Sept. 14 A man reported that his home at 33 Deer Creek Rd. was entered and electronic equipment stolen.

Sept. 14 A maintenance building at 401 S. Powerline Rd. was entered and 30 lawn care items were stolen.

Sept. 15 A home at 1313 SE 2 Ave. was broken into. Stolen were: two handguns, four diamond rings valued at a total of $9,000, 15 gold bracelets valued at a total of $1,500 and 30 antique watches valued at a total of $5,000.

Sept. 15 Three men entered a home at 4144 NW 5 Terr. and stole two men’s watches.

DEERFIELD – District 4

Sept. 16 Drugs/narcotics offenses were reported at Quiet Waters, 400 S. Powerline Rd. The officer made a traffic stop for dark window tint. There was the smell of marijuana inside the vehicle. The marijuana was located and field-tested positive. The defendant was released on a notice to appear in court and given a citation.

Sept. 16 Sexual assault by a custodian, sexual battery on a victim11-12 years of age (under 18) took place in Deer Creek Plaza, 3693 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Sept. 16 Possession of Cannabis, not more than 20 grams, was reported at Quiet Waters, 400 S. Powerline Rd.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

Sept. 15 A woman reported that a man sold her a car part for $940.

Sept. 16 It was reported that a building at 2502 N. Federal Hwy. was vandalized. The building was spray painted.

Sept. 17 The manager of Publix Supermarket at 2450 N. Federal Hwy. reported that a man tried to return medications. The manager believed the man was attempting to commit a fraud. The man was issued a trespass warning and ordered not to return to the Publix.

Burglary Suspect chased By BSO;crashes in Deerfield

BSO dispatch received a call of a breaking and entering at 9:10 a.m. at 2201 Bay Drive in Pompano Beach. A deputy was injured trying to apprehend the suspect on Hillsboro Blvd. and A1A. It appears the suspect hit the deputy with his vehicle causing non life-threatening injuries. A SWAT team moved in on the suspect and removed him in front of hundreds of shocked by-standers

PBFR transported the deputyIMG_20130919_093527_240 to Broward Health North.

The suspect is in custody.
