DEERFIELD BEACH

May 19 A woman reported her home at 81 NE 7 St. entered and burglarized.

May 19 A woman reported her purse stolen from her unlocked vehicle parked at 3850 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

May 20 It was reported that a mini-van parked at 401 S. Powerline Rd. was entered and a purse with $50, an ATM card and documents were stolen.

DEERFIELD – District 4

May 26 Conveyance burglary took place in the Gates of Hillsboro at 4001 W. Hillsboro Blvd., Deerfield Beach. BSO responded to a burglary to a vehicle.

May 26 Theft – Retail/ Shoplifting occurred in Deerfield Mall at 3740 W. Hillsboro Blvd., Deerfield Beach. The subject stole four packages of bacon. Total loss was $25.46. The subject had 18 prior retail theft felony convictions.

May 26 Theft – Retail/ Shoplifting was reported in Deerfield Mall at 3740 W. Hillsboro Blvd., Deerfield Beach. Suspect walked into Publix and concealed $29.55 of merchandise in her purse and proceeded to walk past all points of sale. The suspect was detained and the merchandise was recovered.

May 13 A victim went to the police department at 2061 NE 26 St. to report that someone used his identity to open an account and changed his address to a residence in Davie.

May 14 A subject stole $38.62 worth of groceries at a store located at 2460 N. Federal Hwy. and fled into an awaiting vehicle.

May 14 The victim said she was distracted by her two children and noticed her purse was missing after she drove away from 3700 N. Federal Hwy. The purse contained a wallet with credit cards, and other items. Loss was $160.

May 10 It was reported that a person attempted forced entry to the front door of Hair Cuttery at 3857 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

May 11 Someone broke into a work vehicle at 312 NE 44 St. and stole $600 worth of copper wire.

May 11 A man reported that someone entered his car at 1011 S. Powerline Rd. and stole a cell phone.

DEERFIELD – District 4

May 25 Residential burglary occurred in Pine Tree Apartments at 1701 NW 2 St., Deerfield Beach. Victim advised BSO that the unknown subject entered her apartment over night and stole $300.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

May 8 A subject took a golf cart owned by a car dealer at 2800 N. Federal Hwy. for a joy ride. The cart is valued at $1,000.

May 8 Someone stole a license plate off a Ford F-150 truck that was parked at 2460 N. Federal Hwy.

May 10 The victim said his wallet was either lost or stolen while he was at a gas station at 4900 N. Federal Hwy. Loss was $25.

May 3 Three businesses at 1337 S. Military Trail were burglarized via removal of a front lock.

May 4 A home at 424 SE 13 Court was entered through an unlocked door. The bedroom was entered and jewelry and a computer were stolen.

May 7 An individual entered offices on the fourth floor of a building at 2001 W. Sample Rd. and stole driver’s licenses and credit cards from purses.

DEERFIELD – District 4

May 14 Theft – Retail/Shoplifting occurred at Target, 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd., Deerfield Beach. Suspects entered Target and took 2 pairs of Bose headphones from the shelf and left the store without attempting to pay for the items.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

April 24 Victim who resides at 2321 NE 48 St. said someone used her identity to file a false tax refund.

April 25 Victim who lives at 3110 NE 48 St. said someone opened new lines of credit at various stores and ran up charges amounting to $2,290.

April 26 Victim lost a wallet after making a purchase at a food store at 3780 N. Federal Hwy. It contained $150 in cash, library card, credit cards and a $70 gift card. The loss was $200.

April 27 Three men reported they were shot at by an individual while they were sitting in front of a house with friends. The incident was reported at 4731 NE 2 Way.

April 27 The assistant manager of Walgreens at 1041 E. Hillsboro Blvd. reported that four people stole alcohol from the store.

April 30 It was reported that a vehicle diagnostic computer and cash were stolen from USA Auto Service at 2501 W. Sample Rd.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

April 16 An officer said someone threw eggs at his vehicle while he was driving at 3000 NE 36 St. and fled the area at a high rate of speed. Two subjects were found in an apartment complex and admitted to throwing eggs. Police found a carton of 36 eggs in a vehicle with eight eggs missing.

April 15 A vehicle failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign and police pulled the vehicle over at 2100 NE 36 St. During a search, police found a circular grinder on the floor and also found narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

April 16 The victim said he was two months in arrears for his HOA payment. He showed proof of payment to the condo business office at 4500 N. Federal Hwy. It appears an employee may have diverted the funds from the three checks.

April 19 A motorcycle was reported stolen from 4061 NW 9Ave.

April 19 A vehicle was entered at 340 NW 3 Ave. and an iPod was stolen.

April 20 A man reported that he believes that two former employees stole an iPad, and two cabinets from his business at 239 Goolsby Rd.

DEERFIELD – District 4

April 24 Theft – Retail /Shoplifting took place at the Super Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Suspect entered the store and removed a GPS system from the box and exited the store with no attempt to pay for the item.

April 25 Theft – Retail /Shoplifting occurred at Deerfield Mall, 3812 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Suspect entered TJ Maxx and took purses from the sales floor. The suspect then went to the bathroom to conceal the purses inside a diaper bag. She later attempted to exit the store without paying for the merchandise.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

April 12 A subject left a store at 2149 NE 48 St. with a 12-pack of Heineken beer and fled in a vehicle. Loss was $15.99.

April 12 Someone used an employee’s notary stamp at a business at 1849 NE 25 St. and forged a real estate document.

April 15 A subject was arrested after failing to pay for a bar tab at 2202 NE 36 St. The tab was $74.80.

April 11 A man reported that a man snatched a chain off his neck at 4677 NE 5 Ave.

April 13 A car parked at 1090 SW 4 Terr. was entered and $40 was stolen.

April 14 A woman reported her car stolen from the Home Depot parking lot at 60 SW 12 Ave.

DEERFIELD – District 4

April 24 Theft took place in Powerline Industrial Park at1371 SW 30 Ave. A city employee reported that unknown suspect(s) stole a Neptune 1” water meter owned by the city, from the front of the vacant industrial building. The loss was $112.

April 24 Retail Theft/ Shoplifting occurred at the Super Target at 3599 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Suspect was arrested after attempting to steal a vacuum valued at $599.99 from Target, where she removed its security device.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

April 1 Police responded to a disturbance at a fast food restaurant at 4830 N. Federal Hwy. where a subject was yelling and cursing at people in the drive-thru for no apparent reason. The subject was taken into custody.

April 3 Someone stole an anchor from the victim’s 1998 Pro Line 271/2 ft. boat parked behind a building at the 3180 block of N. Federal Highway. The loss was $315.

April 4 Someone stole a license plate from a vehicle while it was parked at 2200 NE 38 St.

April 6 A man stole a bottle of Gilbey’s from Walgreens at 1325 S. Military Trail.

April 6 A car parked at 2035 SW 15 St., a wallet with credit cards, and $180, were stolen.

April 6 A person entered Publix at 3740 W. Hillsboro Blvd. and stole $200 worth of meat.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

April 3 The victim left for work and when she returned, she noticed that a bench in front of her apartment at 2421 NE 36 Street was missing. Witnesses said they saw it by the trash and the victim has no idea why it was there. Loss was $100.

April 3 The victim, who lives at 2250 NE 26 St., said someone attempted to use the victim’s identity to file 2014 taxes. There was no loss.

April 4 Police observed a male and female subject walking through a shopping center at 5000 N. Federal Hwy. He approached them and said they were looking for cigarette butts. Police conducted a search and found them in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia

March 29 A man reported that he was attacked by five men at 510 NW 2 Ave. and $20 was stolen from him.

March 30 A man reported that a man approached him as he exited his car in the back of the Thrift Store at 270 Lock Rd. The man reported that he was attacked by the other man and $800 was stolen from him.

March 31 A home at 4201 NE 2 Ave. was burglarized and jewelry and a television were stolen.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

March 23 Someone stole a bike that was leaning against the property at 1900 NE 28 Court. The loss was $200.

March 24 Someone entered an unlocked vehicle at 3850 N. Federal Hwy. and stole a wallet and a cell phone from inside. The loss was $171.

March 24 Police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle from a residence at 1901 NE 30 Street. An abandoned bike was found and police believe the thief wanted to upgrade. The loss was $250.

March 24 A perpetrator was arrested and charged with breaking into a residence at 317 SE 12 St.

March 25 A woman reported that her former boyfriend punched her in the face and stole her cell phone at 700 N. Deerfield Ave.

March 25 A suspect stole $103.41 worth of razors from Publix at 3740 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

March 26 A woman reported medication missing from her home at 640 NW 3 Ave. after having guests in her home.

DEERFIELD – District 4

March 15 Residential burglary was reported in Pine Tree Apartments at 750 Lock Rd. Unknown subject(s) smashed the sliding glass door and took two TVs and a Play Station 4.

March 15 Theft occurred in Deer Creek at 3206 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Victim reported that her pocketbook and wallet were stolen from All Shoes department store.

March 17 Auto theft took place in Pine Tree Apartments at 500 Lock Rd. An F350 Power Stroke was taken from the apartment complex.

March 19 Conveyance burglary was reported in Riverglen at 280 NW 45 Ave. Unknown subject(s) smashed the rear passenger side window to the victim’s vehicle. Subject removed the victim’s purse.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

March 12 Witnesses reported seeing a group of juveniles breaking into vehicles at 4500 N. Federal Hwy. Police found several unlocked doors; however, nothing appeared to be taken.

March 19 Someone knocked over a 2011 scooter parked in front of McDonald’s at 4830 N. Federal Hwy. Damage was $150.

March 23 Someone stole a tag off a motorcycle while it was parked at 2330 NE 50 St.

March 17 A vehicle was stolen from 500 Lock Rd.

March 17 A woman reported her home at 309 SE 3 St. broken into and a jewelry box containing jewelry and a laptop stolen.

March 17 Visitors from Canada reported that $700 was stolen from their room at Embassy Suites at 950 S. Ocean Dr.

March 19 A car parked at 280 NW 45 Ave. was broken into and a purse stolen.

DEERFIELD – District 4

March 23 Auto theft was reported in Deer Creek at 2345 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Victim parked his vehicle, unlocked, and with the driver’s window rolled down, in front of his office. He observed the vehicle leaving his parking space and departing the scene.

LIGHTHOUSE POINT

March 9 Victim, at 2050 NE 39 St., was told by her bank that her identity was used to create fraudulent transactions on E-Trades.

March 12 Victim said she received an email at her residence at 4103 NE 22 St. from a man identifying himself as a soldier and in need of her services as a pet sitter. The victim said she received a check from the man in the amount of $2,930 for pet supplies and was told to send two money grams for $1,030 each. The victim was told by the bank that the check was fake. She was not responsible for the monies sent.

March 12 A witness observed eight male juvenile subjects breaking into a rental vehicle at 4500 N. Federal Hwy. Nothing appeared to be taken.
